So correct then, for fines!
Your reply was qualified with 'likely to be ... [a fine]' when in fact a fine is the least likely thing to happen. Overall, an unhelpful contribution. I did NOT say "there is likely to be a fine"
There is a difference.

Can you take a photo of the ticket and post it on here (remove your personal details). It’d be interesting to see a ticket for 31, even if it was in a 20 limit.
Shhh, he will leave again You are slipping Loon,
You forgot to add you will pay £100.00 to a charity of his choice (if ticket is correct) because you don't believe him.

Not far from me the council spent loads installing a 20 limit near a school. The school had been there since the 60s.
Within 18 months, the school has closed. They must have been planning to close the school for years as intakes were stopped. . Money well spent!
Local councils using money wisely as usual!Within 18 months, the school has closed. They must have been planning to close the school for years as intakes were stopped. . Money well spent!

You failed to mention a course or fixed penalty. Those are the two most likely outcomes. Why address only the least likely outcome? Probably because you read something on the internet and didn’t understand it.
Some may deal in the probable. I would prefer to think about possible. Glass half full is a fine approach if it is not your glass, and you are not paying the bar tab.

Those roads are 20 for a reason, most of the time they're around schools and residential areas (unless you live in London). Caught by a camera or a van I presume?
Yes they are 20 for a reason and that reason is to rip off as many honest people as they can. Parasites.- cough**Bristol**cough**

Why wouldn’t I believe him? He’s massively over the speed limit. You forgot to add you will pay £100.00 to a charity of his choice (if ticket is correct) because you don't believe him.
Why am I a loon for asking? I actually want to see the ticket as it might shut some of the 31mph doubters up

He's not suggesting you're a loon. He's suggesting you are Loon, 'cause you post like him.
Maybe you haven't been on here long enough.

Got offered the chance to apply for a doped awareness course however that is not an option for me. Done one previously.
Guess I'll be getting 3 points then
You can do another if it was over 3 years since you last got caught. Guess I'll be getting 3 points then
Can we have a photo of the ticket to prove the 31mph doubters wrong please
As I understand it, when the registered keeper nominates someone as the driver, it doesn’t necessarily mean you were actually driving. However it does mean you have to state, if possible, who was driving. Two points to consider.
Firstly, as I understand it the onus on you to name the driver differs somewhat to that required of the registered keeper.
Secondly, given the time elapsed it could be considered unreasonable to expect someone to be able to recall who may or may not have been driving three months later.
None of this applies of course if you are the only person who is allowed to drive the car.

We covered this on another thread. Gavia = the Diver family of birds, known as Loons in North America.
This was my answer beforehttps://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gavia_Pass
I don’t know who this loon is that you don’t like, but it’s not me. I loved this pass, it was the hardest road I’ve ever ridden on a pushbike and a lovely trip in a car.

I think you're confused. People have previously expressed doubts about someone getting a NIP for 31mph in a 30mph..... they wouldn't believe it as it is only 1mph over the speed limit.

...oh that's right, because it's your day job. Good work, keep it up. Thumbs up...
