Good to see Alex Marquez on a GP bike. I suspect he'll move to the that grid in the next couple of years and be a force to be reckoned with, like his brother

Don't rate Alex nearly as highly as Marc, he seems very hot and cold, so if he does end up thee it will largely be on reputation. Morbidelli blew him away this year.

He is quick no doubt, but seems to crash under pressure a bit. Mir is a much more safe bet.

Who really compares to Marc?! No one.

However Alex ain't half bad and is well connected. He needs to win Moto2 as he has set himself that goal. Then progress forward. He's already a world champion so he's doing it the right way.

I love seeing the combined times.

He will get there because of who his brother is, in his career in Moto2 he does not deserve it yet for me on merit, thee are others like Aergerter who achieved more consistency and better results on lesser bikes.

People forget Aleix Espig was utterly average in Moto2 and 250. And got where he did quite luckily as he was offered a CRT Aprilia ride and pasted de Crashiet, who had a massive year the year before!!

Although the factory Ducati, LCR, MVDS and Avintia teams have left Suzuki, KTM, Aprilia and Pramac Ducati are still out there and Kawasaki are back out today with Rea and Sykes showing the way.

Rea's fastest lap was quicker than the pole lap for the Moto GP race earlier this year! Albeit, the circuit has apparently been resurfaced since then.
