Bad driving on M25
Discussion
I don't see the dcw doing anything wrong tbh, they are in their lane leaving the correct distance for the conditions in the m25, if you left the anymore gap you would just get idiots constantly trying to push in like the one in the clip.
Whenever I'm on the M3 it always an eye opener heading into the m25, the speed goes from 50mph (average speed cameras) to 80mph and everyone tailsgates.

Have you driven on the M25? Leave a bigger gap and you just get pushed back.
I know. One time I tried to leave the two second gap. I was trying to go from junction 8 to 11 but by the time I turned off I’d been pushed back all the way to junction 4. In the end I used the opposite carriageway to head towards junction 1. Fortunately this pushed me all the way round to 11.travel is dangerous said:

The driving in those clips is poor - by all, including the camera cars.
I find it interesting that when driving in some countries (some parts of Europe and SE Asia in particular) the attitude seems to be that if you pull off a manoeuvre which places you "ahead" then fair play. In the UK, drivers often take offence and will put themselves and others in danger to make their own point.
These situations are avoidable - don't let others' bad driving irritate you and instead concentrate on driving well. Sounds patronising and not aimed at anyone on this thread but I've learned from this advice given to me many years ago.

Really only want an opinion from someone who actually knows the law, if this had resulted in a multiple pile up who caused it? Like I said how do you know dashcam car was not being tailgated, yet again I say he brakes and gets hit who pays? Lots of cars indicate they want to come into the next lane and wait for a space. Im actually lost for words that anyone could say the dashcam car is in the wrong.
Well the law defines that a “careful and competent driver” should be given the opportunity to make a opinion on whether someone is driving carelessly or dangerously. I opine both are at least careless and the chap driving the video car may even qualify dangerous. So there you go, I know the law and that’s my opinion. What say you who appears to know nothing of the law but asks for opinion.

Interesting clip and in my opinion not much to do with the car or the tyres. It looks like what happened was the camera car drove into water, which would have been deeper on the offside due to the road camber; this would then have caused the vehicle to move further offside due to retardation on that side. If the driver applied significant corrective steering angle whilst still in the water then after emerging the wheels will have been pointing such that rotation of the vehicle would have been very hard to stop (which is what happened). Yes, wide tyres don't help but the principles are the same....

Prosecute both section 3 RTA.
This.Bsd driving from both, as explained by other posters, compounded by the poor conditions.
OP should reconsider if he/she thinks that is a correct following distance.
Come on OP, it's been 12 hours. What happened to the drivers in the video?

There are literally no vehicles leaving enough distance from the vehicle in front in either clip. Such a depressing st show of idiots.
Have you driven on the M25? Leave a bigger gap and you just get pushed back.Don't worry about it.

Leave punishment to the authorities or risk getting punished yourself, as, I assume, happened to the OP's friend.

Have you driven on the M25? Leave a bigger gap and you just get pushed back.I see bad driving most days but I try to keep my distance from it rather than be a part of it.
