Stolen from GMP and found in Merseyside by looks of it. Tucked away nicely.

Hopefully not damaged or abused before owner got it back.

I don’t think the police will stoop that low.

These Golf R’s seem to be the car of choice at the moment for car thieves.

I guessing it was found using a tracker. In a place like that, hours after the theft.

I recall a GMP officer having a go of an Evo after stopping a drink driver and “needing” to move the car. Ended up in someone’s front garden or wall.

Love how they do all the patting on the back on Twiitter, and yet no mention of actually catching the tts that did it. But no, we found the car, so "mission accomplished".

From what I read it looks like that part is ongoing.

They should help out the Met with recovering motorbikes.

Don't be too hard on him, there was a lot to read within that Tweet.

Glad it was found in one piece.

Though it must mean mixed feelings on its return. A friend of mine had his RS4 taken off his drive (suspected relay method, taken from behind 7 foot solid gates - so he must have been watched and followed, very unsettling).

He hadn't had the tracker activated but luckily it was found parked 200 miles away in a side road in Staffordshire by police APNR who just happened to be driving by.

No damage, just needed keys reprogramming but within a few days after recovering it, he'd sold the car on.

Hilarious, I'm sure.

A slightly positive thread (for a change) having positivity hoovered out of it by one of the forums 'funny blokes' that can't read a thread without making silly comments.

Too much effort?
