Interesting that they identified the exact models of cars but not the reg details...I thought they had ANPR across the motorway network these days, or does it not work at 140mph?
sounds a bit suspicious doesn't it 4 Cars travelling at 140mph all models identified but not a single plate hmmmm?rykard said:
I thought they had average speed cameras all over that road...
Only on the extension into Glasgow and long may it continue to be that little coverage!Thought it would be well know that anything south of Moffat and north of Carlisle (M74 & M6) is often well patrolled.
If I had a dashcam but nothing unfortunate happened would I check footage and report them? Not sure I would.
Bits of the M74 are probably about as good as it gets for safe high speed driving in the UK. As already said, bits where you can see miles and I've been on bits of it a few times with 3 lanes and not a car in sight in front or behind me. I sat at 70 the whole time because to have done any more would have been dangerous.
97.5 for me on that southbound stretch approaching Dumfries years ago. Mile after mile of empty Motorway in perfect conditions and there they were with their van, instead of perhaps catching people speeding in genuinely dangerous locations. Just as well they hadn't been a few miles further north...
