Another parking ticket thread...
Discussion
Indeed... Had I come back to a ticket on the car, then would have been a bit easier to swallow I think. Just didn’t realise checked by camera, so somewhat kicking myself. Am going to blame the other half for staying in the pub too long!
A bit of digging reveals NCP usually have 10 mins of grace after expiration, so as was bang to rights on that I can’t be bothered with the hassle and will pony up the £60. Has it been within time, but wrong reg, then would have appealed, as did buy a ticket in good faith. Will chalk this one up to experience as first fine/ticket/invoice in 16 years of driving.

How long after the parking event did you receive the ticket in post A bit of digging reveals NCP usually have 10 mins of grace after expiration, so as was bang to rights on that I can’t be bothered with the hassle and will pony up the £60. Give up with the bloody fine/invoice st. It’s getting a bit repetitive. We all know the difference.
But in this respect he’s right. There’s a big difference between a fine and an invoice. It’s pointed out every time on every one of these “I’ve got a parking ticket help me not pay it threads”.
Thanks for repeatedly pointing it out. And whilst in the context of this thread I suppose it is relevant .
Council/Police - Fine - Pay it
Others - Invoice - Appeal/Refuse to pay/win or loose court battle (if PC takes you to court)/pay or don’t pay depending on courts decision.
As for pointing out EVERY time someone use fine or invoice in the wrong context fking stop it. It’s always the same people in SP&L and we all know the difference.
If the OP had done a tiny bit of research (I hope they had before posting the question) they would know the bloody difference.
Anyway rant over I’m having a bad day.

Who is 'we', btw? I don't think you can claim to speak for the entire readership of this forum.
It is precisely the lack of knowledge about that difference that the private parking industry exploits to its advantage.
