Any more info on whether the GPF will or will not be fitted? Or, will they potentially go for the same set up as the Speedster with ITB's?

Thank you - I did read that. However how accurate is it likely to be and if that is the case does it point towards ITB's and loss of the rear silencers? In reality - Porsche are the only people who know the truth and until the 1st cars start arriving it's all speculation.

I think they are decent in that they seem to have access to Porsche/don’t make st up like Autocar.....there’s an interview with the guy that’s been running 911 prodiuction for the last 18 years in this months edition as an example. They had an interview with the CEO a few months ago.

ITBs are Speedster specific, according to a post in the long thread, so the GT3 RS will have the same engine as batch 1 but with a GPF.

How they've matched the 520bhp output is unknown at the moment as far as I can see.

I beg to differ.! .In the Total 911 interview the insider was asked specifically about the second batch EU engine..He categorically said that there were extensive internal engine changes made, so different to the first batch RS engine in fact, that they codename it internally as the Generation 3 RS engine.
With this in mind it wouldn't surprise me one bit if it was fitted with the same ITBs as the Speedster..Its the only logical conclusion IMO but by my own admission i've got it wrong before.

Of course, I forgot that bit in the thread, but ITBs haven't been confirmed in the RS although engine changes have clearly been made. I agree they may share engines but we don't know for sure yet.

Apart from the likely issue’s with the engine management system I don’t think there’s going to be a new industry springing up for GPF removal if this is correct which I read on another thread about DPF’s

-DPFs are fitted to meet European emissions regulations and it would be an offence (under the Road vehicles (Construction and Use) Regulations) to use a vehicle which has been modified in such a way that it no longer complies with the emissions standards it was designed to meet.

-Removing a DPF could also invalidate any insurance cover because it makes the vehicle illegal for road use.

Don’t know is the second one is correct but that’s a pretty difficult one to get round......

Individual Throttle Bodies.

Throttle body per cylinder like the NA V8 & V10 ///M engines.

I find it crazy that the specs aren’t available yet. When is this information likely to be made available? I have a build date in early July, it would be good to know before then!

I have one coming a bit later than yours..They're still waiting to pass the official WLTP test which are very onerous and time consuming..The same goes for the Speedster which is the sole reason neither cars can be configured via the public Porsche website.

I haven't really been configuring the RS until i got official confirmation on my allocation..However i seem to recall that the note on 'Due to upcoming changes etc' and contact your dealer for price info has been on for a good few months..
I accept that as you have a print out from the Porsche website with prices and spec etc on March 1st then i was mistaken.

Its Ok, its when you said its been like that " for 6 months", that's what made me question the point.
