They rarely venture out in the Winter, or when it's raining, so you are safe, then. In fact, it's on record that at least one of them didn't even know which way to point the gun they were holding. Been moaned at a few times by these types and have been under the limit every time. I can't wait to sign up when my life is almost over.

How exactly have you been moaned at by Speedwatch volunteers assuming you were travelling past them at 30mph...do you lip read?We go out in all weathers, wet, cold, wind and sun and given the whole point is to keep people to the limit we are hardly going to moan when they do exactly that. Still it’s much easier to criticise volunteers so that you can sound ‘cool’.

Must have just been lucky re: the weather. Never seen any other than on warm, dry days.

I forgot the most important example! (I'm sure I posted about it on here so may have to hunt for the specifics)
I received a letter at work suggesting I was traveling at something like 34 or 35 in a 30 zone by CSWs. Unhappy with this because 1) I had seen them and 2) I was in a huge truck trying to climb a large hill, I denied it and asked them to check their tracker system for that date and tacho data. Surprise, surprise, I was under 30 mph.
Is that "cool" enough for you?
Also, for the record, the Essex incident happened in a 30 zone when I was travelling at 20 (all data to prove this was available at the time).

The actual speed was 28 mph.
Someone who runs / ran a CSW group said it could have been down to training or doppler shift picking up a faster vehicle behind (highly unlikely) and also that their equipment wasn't calibrated to the levels of equipment the police use.
I also forgot to add that this was the second time my company was contacted and both times the CSWs were wrong. I also had a group say they would call my company to complain when I declared I had evidence I could show them that I was not speeding. It became clear to me very early on that many of them just hated vehicles. In fact, I remember a certain group being disbanded by the police due to "suspect figures" iirc.
