If you get banned, points come off.
Only for a TT99 disqualification.

Pretty certain you’re wrong. Points are valid for three years and stay in the licence for 4 years as a general rule (I know there are some that stay on longer / apply from date of conviction etc).

They don’t get cancelled just because your licence has been revoked.
For a speeding offence, penalty points expire 3 years from the day of the offence and they are removed from your driving record 4 years from the day of the offence.

Sorry, yes, should have been more clear. If you get a ban for a single speeding offence, or a drink drive or whatever, that offence won't carry any points, but other prior offences will remain on licence

I thought I’d said that with my caveat in brackets and saying “as a general rule”.

Wouldn’t it be better to confirm / correct what the other poster had said rather than pick on the detail of my post?

So. Agt for a revocation do the 6 points collected on the revoked licence get transferred to the new licence when granted. If they do I’ll stand corrected

All my Googling suggests that the 6 points stay on your licence post-revocation.

That isn't very fair. If you have to retake a test it means clean slate?

It is, because you can then drive again, and have to accrue another 6 points to get a proper ban. So you're in the same position as you were before the revocation.

At least the OP's sister will get another 8 months of driving smile

When she gets her licence back it will still have 6 points as well.
Is that a statement or a question ? In any case the answers are no / wrong
Clearly a statement. No question mark should have given you a clue. As you have found out, I am right. Happened to me when I was 17.
