Over £6k for 3 people is rather on the high side for a TUI place, you’d hope it was amazing for that price.

For AI in the holidays you are looking at around £1000-1500 each normally I would have thought. OP at £700 each obviously forgot to tick the minimum 4 stars box smile
It's Turkey.

£700 gets 5 star AI during the school holidays.
But 5* in Turkey doesn't necessarily equal 5* somewhere else.

That is true.

My boys used to like the Brazilian skillz soccer schools and other such daytime entertainment, offered by some of the 'super-family' AI resorts. For my sins, I even won a few Super family T-Shirts for things I entered to keep the younger Hol clan members entertained.

At one such place in Portugal one family sitting next to us were shocked that the facilities were nothing like the equivalently stared hotel they'd stayed at in Dubai. I think I mumbled sympathetic noises whilst trying to work out if they were actually serious.
In the end I think they got some money back so they could eat out, instead of using the buffet.

Maybe it was on the more expensive side. But school holidays and part of a wedding group so maybe we paid a little more than we should. But I will say one thing, there seems to be a bit of TUI bashing going on in the media at the minute, but for us they were excellent from the start to the end. And yep, the hotel was amazing! Food, staff, swim up room, wedding, nightime pool parties, water park all perfect. I will say it but probably get slated for it, you do get what you pay for in the end!

Which resort was it? We are looking at TUI options with water parks.

God people in here are so cringe. Doesn't sound like the OP is on a £110 per person per week deal. Get over yourselves.

Excellent! The standard restaurant had so many choices, but you can also pick 2 speciality restaurants each week during your stay. The choices were traditional Greek, Italian or Asian (Chinese/Indian). The wedding was in the Italian restaurant which overlooks the infinity pool and the food served there was excellent. We didn't try the Greek or Asian as with a 2 year old the early sittings were too early for us and the late ones were too late. They did get booked up quickly due to going in peak season. I wouldn't say i'm a fussy eater but I have no complaints at all with the food at this resort.

We had some very decent holidays in the Balearics back in the day, outside kids holidays perhaps and only half-board, for £99 each last minute.

Ok, there’s been some inflation in the last 20 years, but flights are cheaper than ever so someone must be raking it in. I can’t understand why the tour companies are going bust.

£1800 per person for Turkey? eek

Well I'm unless the prices advertised on a common holiday websites were fake there was 5* AI for £700 per person in Marmaris when I made that post.

If you want to come down to 3-4 star there is plenty of cheaper options than that.

It's genuinely embarrassing. People in here need to give their head's a wobble. And even if the OP didn't spend a lot, who fking cares? Dude's having a bad time in what sounds unfairly represented accommodation and just wants some advice. Not a story about how you and your 16th century mum and dad only travel to the finest arts spaces in the world in your private plane or whatever pathetic, faux life you're trying to hint at.

Boils my piss.

Good luck OP I hope you get it sorted. I'm surprised how positive the TA reviews are in general. I wonder if it's been a very recent dive in quality.

First look and I can see that holiday for £810 for the last week of the school holidays.

How on earth did/would you pay £1800 for Turkey off season? For that kind of money I wouldn't be anywhere near Turkey.

Please tell me you didn't you didn't read my first response in context and you didn't pay £1800 each?
