I’ve just been pulled over and invited for a chat in the back of an unmarked BMW regarding my mis-spaced plate. I’ll sort the plate out later today and I think I passed the attitude test. What penalties do the PH hive mind think I am likely to face?

Pretty sure you need to have your car crushed?

None if they didn't tell you they'd be reporting you or give you a fixed penalty notice. Sometimes a simple verbal caution is enough.

I heard that mis-spacing number plates is a crime punishable by death.

I'd be more worried about the taste police.

At the least the real police have tried to save you from embarrassing yourself further than you already have, though.

There's a very simple rule with mis-spaced plates: if you need to mis-space it, it's a st plate.

Or worse still, a 1-Series.

A truly heinous crime presumably due to the OPs fk the law attitude, vanity and sense of self of entitlement.

Picture or record of chavplate required.

Then at least the OP can feel slightly less guilty by supporting the brilliant C124PPY chavplate thread.

After the holiday we’ve had that would be a sweet, sweet release.

I have a mis spaced plate

It's also tinted.

I drive a white bmw that is "slammed" as many oldies would call it.

I love it :-)

I recently received a 100 quid fine for my tinted plates.
The officer said it was very dark (it's not) and had to take several photos as he couldn't get it to appear dark enough :-)

Both my cars have tinted plates and this is only time I've had issues in 5 countries in 4 years.

I just took it on the chin and as it just so happens I also was getting 100 a day in fuel expenses also... :-)

Number plate fines are non endorable so only the fine.

Apparently, but it hasn't for the last 5 years or so.

Look, I'm going to overlook your helpful and informative post just this once, but next time I'll be reporting you to the mods smile He said he'd reported it to headquarters, and they would decide whether it would be a caution or a FPN.

OK, but can I keep the air horns that play Colonel Bogey?

You're right, I'm a bloody menace me. A bona fide danger to society. I'm petitioning my MP to bring back the birch, it's the only language I'll understand.

Come on OP, post it up. You seem a good sport. Have seen some ste plates before, how bad can this “crime” be?

OP undoubtedly a troll unless the Chavplate is revealed.
