If not hilarious.
Yup, the delusion of xj and kewy is certainly off the scale when it comes to Chavplates.
I'm going to bite on this one and make one thing clear.Yup, the delusion of xj and kewy is certainly off the scale when it comes to Chavplates.
This is no longer about plates, unlike you, I am at ease with people have different opinions on different matters and you're more than welcome to have yours.
This, and most my posts if you actually read them, have been about the manner in which you express your opinion. Not forgetting that you judge peoples whole character based on something as silly as a number plate.
You are rude and unable to have a civil conversation. I couldn't give a st about number plates now, I'm talking about your personality, or at least the one you choose to express whilst hidden behind your keyboard.
As xj said, it would be interesting to see if you talk to people in the same way when they're stood in front of you. And just because you have a select few people who join you in hunting down number plate threads and ganging up on people, don't be deluded in thinking that the whole of PH is on your side. I meet regularly with PH members, and have made some good friends, because I'm a reasonable polite person. I'm meeting about 20 members on Sunday in fact for a monthly meet we do. Feel free to come along
Using Pistonheads a barometer for Private plate hate/love. There are two threads running.
Good Plates
Crappy plates
The good plate thread is 100 posts from Vol 6
The Crappy plate thread has only just ticked over the Vol 3
So to suggest that 'everyone laughs at them' or 'the majority of PH dont like personalised plates' seems devoid of evidence.
Now I think its time everyone moves on with their lives and stops obsessing over bits of plastic on a car

No normal person takes the piss over a number plate.
That is what you seem to not realise after all of this.
Err, yeah. Everyone does. That is what you seem to not realise after all of this.
If you need proof go out and count the cars have them, and those that don’t.
By that reckoning everyone who goes past you at 80mph when you are doing 70mph, you take the piss out of?
I think taking the piss out of a number plate says more about you than me if I'm honest.

I can't believe people are trying to defend awfully miss spaced and tinted plates.
I don't know what people hope to achieve by doing them apart from to scream at other road users that a bell is coming through.
Well said.I don't know what people hope to achieve by doing them apart from to scream at other road users that a bell is coming through.
But let's not forget the miniscule number of 2 on here who seem to think they are well cool bro and not the total and lets not forget illegal cringefest that they actually are.
Still, there's no accounting for (bad) taste.
Particularly where Chavplates are concerned, as we have illustrated time and time again.

Also, I own multiple private plates. But the issue as you are fully aware isn’t the plate itself, it’s how the owner convened messes about with it, that sets the tone of the viewpoint.
Oh yes, I forgot -because it's OK to be illegal in one way but not in another :-)
Take the piss , when you get to a point in life mentally you don't care what those who don't matter think about you. (IE you s )
Although, I will defend the attitude of some posters which is reprehensible. Never would someone be such a loud mouth unless they had a mental problem.

Illegal plate, you'll end up with the registration mark taken off you and the car q-plated if you're unlucky, i've seen it happen to a friend who insisted on running black and silver plates on a newish car.If you don't agree, tough, you have to deal with it , its the law, if you don't like it try getting the law changed, but that wont happen by moaning on here.
We all take a chance when we break the law but we all have to accept the consequences.

I've already said I accept the law and take my chances. MULTIPLE TIMES.
It actually beggars belief that there are a couple of extremely delusional posters on here (you know who you are) who appear to seriously think there is no difference whatsoever in acceptability between these two 'private' plates:
To make it easier for them to decide, if they are struggling, one is an illegal offensive and mispaced Chavplate, the other one isn't. :

Obviously the plate on the Ford is unacceptable and ridiculous but if a Porsche had a number like 911 SC and was displayed as 911SC. What's the problem? Still perfectly readable and couldn't be mistaken for anything else.To make it easier for them to decide, if they are struggling, one is an illegal offensive and mispaced Chavplate, the other one isn't. :
