Hi

Please can I have the thoughts of vanquish S owners as to the driving experience ideally compared to a Rapide S. I recognise that this may be a small group with experience of both so in addition, Vanquish S owners MY18, how smooth is the gear change? Any usual niggles to be aware of.

Thanks in advance for any and all counsel, thoughts etc.

Regards

Josh

Oh Josh, if you can survive with two seats just do it

We are all "dead a long time" as the saying goes

Ha,

I have pulled the trigger. My kids are now 19 and 16 so going out together is significantly on the wane so have found a 2018 Vanquish. More to come smile

I hope the drive is as good as you lot say it is. wink

Congratulations, that is a very nice car, enjoy. How did you get on with your rapide in the end, did the issues all get resolved for you?

Oh you wont regret it. My ultimate will be making its debut tomorrow after a thorough wash. Since the car has only a few hundred miles on the clock, every time I take it out it's an occasion. Enjoy!

You’ll love it. Will probably rack up way more miles than you expect.. and if there’s a better sounding car straight from the factory, I don’t know what it is.

BTW, in the software you can set it so that it remembers your last sport mode settings on next start up. Saves you selecting Sport each time! smile

Hi

Yes all resolved and no issues since. Once the part that needed replacing had been identified it has all worked flawlessly. Sad to see the Rapide go as I have been in one since 2014 and it signifies that the children are moving on which is also a bit sad. But with room for me, the other half and the pug in the Vanquish I am sure many more happy memories to come.

How on earth do you have the self restraint? I know I’m murdering the residual, but mine (not an Ultimate) is fast approaching 20k.

When I took it in for a service recently the dealership said the exact same thing. The car is going to be a keeper for 30+ years hopefully, so I want it to be as special then as it is now. Especially after the hours I spent contemplating the options and fabrics.

Otherwise I fear if its driven too much It will just become another car. My jaw still drops everytime I open the garage door to get something.

We are all very lucky to have these incredible machines.

Beautiful car - and the pic taken in my neck of the woods, Lower Slaughter. Congratulations!
