You chose that footage, and showed it to us, apparently to illustrate people who are unwilling to overtake.

If you were driving the car initially following you in that video, when would you have made your overtake?
What's that got to do with anything?
We're talking about people not passing a slow driving vehicle when they have ample opportunity leading to long queues of traffic. The car following the overtaking car has to judge the opportunities from their perspective, not from that of a car in front of them.

This is what makes the whole video stupid. Once you have past a car what they do is irrelevant to you.

You just can't accept that others have different ideas to you.

Your statements show your immaturity. In one breath it is the drivers fault, the next it is there "cr@p" cars. Basically you want us to believe you are a God of the road with a fantastic car. Neither of which is true.

That's my entire point.

If he thinks the cars behind should have overtaken the slower drivers as he did, he must feel there is a point when they should have done so.

I think waiting until that long straight at the end of the video, as they seem to do, was reasonable.

I always look at the cars about me and wonder would they think about overtaking? if i saw a Subaru with twin tail pipes or any other such car which gives a hint it has some poke i might just back off. I dont want to drive at 120mph on national roads but draw the line at fking around doing 30 and 40mph behind clueless fks hitting the brakes every second who havent a clue how to overtake.

Its easy from years of driving to suss out cars who may perform overtakes or ones content to sit behind everything peddling along at breakneck speed....I overtake them

This van however had no need to overtake this dumptruck a few yards from a roundie......

And so we return to... you overtook some cars, the drivers behind you did not overtake those same cars.

From your earlier posts, it seemed you thought those drivers should have overtaken.

If so, when should they have made this overtake?

The number of people who overtake my hearse, sometimes in a ridiculous manner has to be seen to be believed. It can be quite upsetting for the family if they are in the cortege.
One of my commuter routes coincides with that of funeral cortege's. Rarely is it possible to overtake because of what is effectively a convoy travelling slow enough to allow all the vehicles to bunch up nice & tight. There is never a gap big enough to slot into, intentionally I suspect.
The answer is simple, some patience courtesy respect & not a little thanksgiving that one is not 'boxed' in or bereaved. After all eventually the convoy WILL terminate at a 'dead' end.

but the thing is, and what you are failing to grasp is that no one has any interest in overtaking, at all. I have uploaded probably an hours of video on you tube at this stage of useless s dwaddling along at sub 40mph, all with absolutely no interest in overtaking - in all of the clips I posted there was ample opportunity for any single driver ahead of me to overtake before the video recording began, hence me just overtaking them all myself. There is a distinct lack of overtaking ability eveident from what I can see.

Either drivers dont have any confidence in the cars they drive, or they got no balls or just st driving (driving too close to someone thus limiting any field ahead to perform a overtake)- or a mixture of all 3

A typical scenario is a car approaching a slow moving vehicle, this could be another car (learner or whatever) or a HGV etc -- rather than overtaking this they just plod behind it and a massive queue builds up - just st driving

If by diffrent ideas you mean being a hopeless uselss of a driver and unable to overtake someone driving between 30 and 40 on main roads, I think I will stick with my own ideas on how to drive. Maybe a penny farthing would suit your approach in life - My car my not be fantastic but its a heck of a lot better than the gutless wheezy st I see every day.

Clearly you haven't got the intellect to enter into reasonable debate. I shall just leave you to your weird assumptions.

This comment reveals a certain mindset.

I hope you do continue to assess your driving and also hope that you don’t live anywhere near me.

The footage you posted was from your rear camera, showing only the cars behind you. That's who you were moaning about not making overtakes.

So again, when in your video should they have made them?

look at this idiot outside lane hogger that won't get out of the way of a mercedes that is clearly trying to make progress, even when the centre and inside lines are completely clear.

I wonder how some people pass their driving test, i really do... rolleyes
