Section 4b says the July 2020 date, I don't believe I have a paper counter part?

Runs out 7th July, eek. Was expecting to have had a reminder through by now, even considering Covid etc

The date at 4b on you photocard is the expiry date for the photocard, it is not the expiry date of your licence. Your licence is valid for a given category until the date shown next to it in section 11 on the back of the photocard.

Details of the 7 month extension to photocard validity are here

There is no such thing as a paper counterpart anymore.

What happened when you went online to apply the certificate to the correct vehicle? When you buy the right to use a registration from the DVLA you get a certificate of entitlement, then you have to apply it to a vehicle in the name of the entitlement holder or nominee.

This temporary extension applies to the photocard expiry date. This is separate to entitlement to drive.
Etc

You can't use the regular online method with a car over 40 years of age for some reason. They also insist that you get it MOT'd as well for another unknown reason

I managed to get to speak to Hannah on their web chat yesterday (even though it said it wasn't available..) advising them I've sent off documents 3 months ago and heard nothing. They said basically sign up to the newsletter and it will let you know when certain services are back up and running then contact them again to chase it up. No expected dates for this.

My photocard expired last weekend, renewed it online on Monday for £14 and my new card arrived on Thursday. So that’s definitely working and speedy to boot!

Bought a new car just prior to lockdown, been waiting on the V5 since late March and there is no way at all to query it seemingly... I guess I'll just wait, unless anyone else has managed to get hold of them? Can't even find a number. I have the new keeper slip and invoice etc for the car.
Update in case anyone cares... got though to DVLA on the phone and they said dealer had taxed it but not registered it online... spoke to someone else at Lexus Gatwick - super helpful and did it over the phone. Salesman just hadn’t done what he’d said. Classic.

A few weeks after I sent mine off in the post banghead after moving house.

The Mrs has sent hers off too, and just put an order in for a new Mini, part-exing hers against it. Should be here in 6 weeks, so 10 weeks after posting her form off.

Contacted the DVLA via web chat to enquire as to what will happen if they don't send the V5c back in time, I was advised that my wife "shouldn't sell her car".

Absolutely shocking.

Are they for real!

I wrote to them three weeks ago and they haven't replied.
