You do know that Tuesday is catch up day for each week in terms of death reporting? Yes it’s an increase week on week but let’s see what happens over the next few weeks rather than becoming too excited about each Tuesday’s figure.
Always an explanation. Looks a bit higher than last Tuesday? The excuses are getting sad mate.

Ah, yes, last Tuesday - 241

I think next in line for excuses we'll have;

Government faking numbers
Still not as bad as flu was in 19xx or 20xx
"Nothing in a country with 65m people"

Etc.

You know he's running out of options when the best thing he comes up with is "you don't get it" or "head in sand"

This bullst is one way for idiots to feel important.

I said Tuesday’s were higher than other days. No explanation, fact.

I said this Tuesday was higher than last week, so why did you have to repeat me suggesting I didn’t recognise this fact?

No excuses just facts. So sad you can’t keep up with the facts though.

I think you and grudas will need a room soon the way he keeps following you around and agreeing with you laugh

Did you forget the part where you tried to excuse it as normal? I could quote you if you struggling with your own posts. I do enjoy the constant wiggling. It just takes daily posting the Corona numbers for your predictions to look dumber, and the excuses to get wilder.

The great thing is we can do this every day. One day your "facts" may add up laugh

I’ll quote if for you as you seem to have amnesia.

Just where did I say or insinuate or even suggest that today’s reported deaths was ‘normal’? I made no ‘excuse’. I stated facts only.

The only wriggling is coming from you and it’s bizarre. Read your response above back. You are losing the plot mate.

I have recently been informed by an MD that they have been told (the chinese whispers gossip vine is shaking furiously) that anyone admitted to a hospice is immediately tested.. This then leads to a death within 28 days and............ In short, cooking the books. Can anyone admit or deny this ??
Deny.

Important to screen everyone who is admitted to hospital, hospice, wherever as the last thing we need is the virus being transmitted around vulnerable people who are already frail. Covid presents in a multitude of ways in older people with blood clotting problems, gastrointestinal problems, not only cough and fever and those being admitted to hospital for medical reasons and testing positive are by definition going to be ill, and if they are infected with the coronavirus that illness is likely to be due to coronavirus. Noone is trying to cook the books, simply put there has to be a consistent way of counting rather than everyone making rules up as they go! Basic epidemiology.

Lol. If you are having trouble, I've bolded the pieces for you.

Now, I'm going to piss myself if the numbers that come out tell a different story. I wonder what the excuses will be then.

What do you mean by a ‘different story’? Are you referring to what I said about Tuesday’s being a catch up day or something else?

I’m interested in what specifically you are going to piss yourself about so I don’t misinterpret what you say in the way you keep misinterpreting what I say. Please help me understand your point because I’d hate you to miss the chance to piss yourself again.

I do certainly hope the numbers start to decrease by Christmas, because the current trajectory is certainly not looking good right now wink
Despite you banging on about the 2nd wave, viruses don't actually have 2nd waves. They just pass through the succeptible people until they run out of succeptible people. Places like London have basically got very few hosts left, hence continued low levels. The north was never really affected earlier in the year, hence why it's catching up now. This is what herd immunity is, and it's the only outcome whether the virus does it naturally, or whether a vaccine is introduced. By the time a vaccine comes it will be as good as useless, because there'll be very few succeptible people to need it.

'Cases' and 'hospitalisations' are irrelevant. The data collection around them is so poor that it's meaningless.
Killboy, did you read what Witko999 said in response to your post today? You didn’t respond to their post. Did you understand it? Did you consider it for more than a nano-second before dismissing it? I would be interested to know if you agree with the points made or if not why not? Perhaps you believe something else? Or is that too difficult a task for you?

Amazing speech by Lord Sumption, ex. Supreme Court Judge, this evening to the Cambridge Law Faculty.

Good to hear that he continues to enjoy traveling around Europe at the moment.

But it’s far too long for the COVID Worriers and Leapers to concentrate for, so you are excused listening to this mind broadening speech smile

Yes, he posts a lot more sense than you do. Except I believe herd immunity is impossible without a vaccine, or incredible death numbers. We are nowhere near close to having all susceptible people from having it.

Time will tell on the "second wave". We don't have to call it a second wave of that is what you have a problem with. But your predictions are still hilarious. So far mine are bang on wink

Herd Immunity level doesn’t start when “all susceptible people have had it”. It starts when the level of immunity in the herd causes the R rate to trend below one naturally, without non pharmaceutical interventions.

As for the level of susceptible left, are you including those who naturally have immunity via other coronaviruses? Estimates of this are as high as 30% of the population.

James Delingpole’s podcast with Mike Yeadon is worth a listen if you find a spare 2 hours. I’m no fan of the former, but he hardly speaks. Yeadon is the expert worth listening to.

Antibodies are only part of the immune response, the last line of defence in fact. The presence of antibodies at a given point in time and the ability for the body to create them on demand are two things. You can have the latter without having the former.

T cell immunity is far more effective and doesn’t require the use of antibodies.

Honestly, listen to that podcast. All of this is explained by the expert Yeadon, far better than I can relay it to you.
