Tier 2 lockdown for London. No evidence. Bullst politics killing the poor and vulnerable.

Original source here should you want to see what’s behind the ‘thumpsnap’ logo that PH sticks on everything uploaded and then tell me it’s the start of the second wave pandemic so let’s all move out of London immediately and never go back to our offices!

COVID worriers and leapers should avoid the radio due to the scaremongering! Facts below but please don’t believe them, just carry on worrying.

COVID deaths being over reported, who would have thought it to be true? Not the COVID worriers that’s who.

That graph is one of the most ridiculous pieces I’ve seen throughout this whole sorry mess, and let’s be honest, that’s one hell of a competitive leaderboard.

I want to understand what the point of it all would be ? Destroying economy of a country that will already suffer bad with Brexit mess? How does that make any sense? What's the final goal here?

Why do countries like Norway etc have not joined in as their economy is doing alright, a small decline but nothing compared to UK, US etc.

Don't get me wrong I said time and time again that these lockdown measures are pretty much pointless from my pov but then again I am not an expert and have no simulations to see what would happen without.

If you mean you don’t understand the point of the hype and lockdowns then truthfully nobody knows yet.

I’ve provided a number of potential scenarios on this thread. I presently think that Dr Mike Yeadon is in the right ball park in that when we began the lockdown in March generally the government’s intentions were reasonable. However, as time has gone on certain people have identified there to be an opportunity and are taking advantage of this, to what end I don’t know.

What I do know is that Sage/Vallance/Whitty are all lying now and have been for sometime. I also know that never before, even in war time, have our liberties been constrained so much and it is being enforced by the police.

We are in unprecedented times but a lot of people seem happy to give up their liberties that took hundreds of years to put in to law. I sincerely hope there are legal proceedings to follow in the not too distant future and that certain people are held to account for this atrocity.

Here’s an example of the sort of impact the increasing lockdowns are having. Nottingham is going in to tier 3 later this week. Local hospitals have announced they are cancelling cancer operations to save a few old people from a flu bug. How would you feel if one of your relatives had their scheduled cancer operation cancelled, not postponed cos’ they have a clue when they will be able to reschedule. How bad is that? Heads need to roll and soon.

what is the solution to this? do you end up having to prioritize people ?

old low priority?
working age high priority?

I'd feel the same way if they had cancer or flu bug, what ever it takes to save them I wouldn't say that someone with cancer is more important than someone with "flu" bug, if they both require hospital assistance to pull through then both are as important.

I believe I read a while ago, Italy did start to do just that.. send old people away and try and keep young alive which is a horrible place to be in.

the issue is that it is medics/doctors making these calls and it is not caused by them, it is caused by these overpaid baboons.

on another note, as far as heads rolling.. I have a strong feeling that nothing at all will happen.

Bojo, Witty etc have all been found to lie time after time and literally nothing happens.

the way people can speak is voting and people have spoken by giving a massive majority to Tories and now we have ridiculous laws and changes passed with 0 opposition or common sense.

It has become apparent that someone who dies of covid is likely to die of something else in the near future.
We normally assess treatment based on 'quality years of life', so the cancer patient (at least monetarily) is more important.

I'm surprised people think that saving an elderly person is worth the same as saving a child.

I did not mean that at all.

we're all going to die of something in the future.

all I am saying is that at what stage do you start to make these assessments.

surely someone young/working age with covid requiring hospital space is more important than someone old/retired with cancer.

as horrible as it sounds, that's the reality we get to face when hospitals fill up

How many are from that demographic?
What is the distribution of resources we are throwing at Covid?

At some point the numbers will have to make sense.

I don't think anyone has the numbers? have you ?

it doesn't matter of its covid, flu, cancer or aids? I mean the end point is person -> hospital space

doesn't matter what they come in with the reality is that if they need space they get a space and if we end up prioritizing we'll be sending old/sick away and taking in the young in no matter what they're in with.

They prioritised people for ICU treatment in March/April. There was a scorecard, the objective was to give those with the best chance of survival the most help. The DM published it at the time and it was recently admitted that they used it. They gave people a score for their age and any medical issues. Pretty much anyone over 80 with COVID was denied access to ICU. Not all obviously because we heard about the occasional 100 year old who survived COVID.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8213613/E...

The thing is though, governments run risk predictions and following Sars, Ebola etc, they knew there was a very good chance of a COVID emerging at some point in the next few years. However, rather than strengthening the NHS and developing mitigation plans for a virus outbreak, they did nothing and have run down the NHS for the past 10 years. The government has also had all summer to strengthen the NHS in case of the 'second wave' that their experts were expecting. But they didn't.

The only reason that we need to prioritise cancer over COVID (for example) is because we don't have sufficient NHS capacity. I think Germany has 10X the number hospital beds (or it could be ICU resources) compared to the UK by per head of population. Now we have Brexit and all the nurses/doctors from overseas will be returning or not joining us now in the numbers we need as we are an ageing population. Talk about cockups! And that's before we get on to the governments lies and massive financial corruption hidden by COVID that is currently in the courts.
