108 in a 30 limit

Well, despite our last interaction was you calling me "thick" CD I usually enjoy your posts so I'm happy to elucidate!
Coming into Billericay from Shenfield there is a small roundabout which bookends Billericay High Street, it's not a mini-roundabout, you can't just cut across it.
It's two lanes onto the roundabout and I was at the front waiting to go right, it was about 11am on a Saturday and the traffic from the high street was backed up across the roundabout so neither me or the guy next to me - who was trying to go left up the High Street - could move.
I heard the blip of a siren and right behind me was a police car with two young coppers, the bloke to my left tried to sort of edge over a bit and I tried creeping forward but there just wasn't any room, cars were also pulled up behind the police car so it was gridlock.
What struck me immediately was the animation of the young copper in the passenger seat, he looked absolutely distraught, holding his head in his hands then banging the dash, waving his hands about in a pleading motion and just looking extremely distressed.
I've no idea what the call was but he was completely beside himself with the frustration of the situation.
This really affected me and I was desperate to get out of their way but had nowhere to go. The siren came on again and I started gesturing at the car on the roundabout to try to back up a bit but they didn't have enough room either. As happens in these situations it seemed to go on for ever but was probably only a minute, I was cringing with the hopelessness of it all.
Finally a gap big enough for me to squeeze through opened up and I shot through. You can't go across the roundabout because its two oncoming lanes so I took the right. When I looked in the mirror they were right there, inches behind me with the guy still looking desperate.
This is a 30 limit road and the oncoming lane was backed up with cars queuing to get into the roundabout, while it wasn't packed there were people on the pavement and there wasn't anywhere for me to pull over. I pretty much ran out of ideas and just floored it.
I was already over the limit and it was a Lambo sitting exactly in sweetspot rev-wise so I flew up the road. I knew the were places further up I could get over so just kept my foot down through the next gear. When I looked at the speedo it was climbing quickly passed 90 and in the mirror they had dropped back a bit, although still flat out I think.
I braked hard and got over onto the pavement, getting lucky because I cut in at a driveway and the curb was dropped where I went onto it, still much too fast but it was quiet further down and there were no pedestrians.
They went past me like a bat out of hell and the passenger stuck his thumb up out of the window.
Going by the speedo when I looked down I would say I definitely topped out over a hundred.
Ashamed to say I'd actually gone into panic mode a bit and just kept my foot down, probably a decent bit of driver training would have given me other options.
Maybe a colleague being attacked to make them so desperate? Never did find out.

How do these things work? Can a Magistrates’ Court deal with it or will they have to send it on to Crown Court?
I am thankfully ignorant of this.
Dangerous driving is an indictable offence. Also known as an 'either way' offence. It can be dealt with either in the MC or the CC.I am thankfully ignorant of this.
Indictable only offences (e.g. causing death by dangerous driving) can only be tried in the CC.
Summary only offences (e.g. speeding) can only be tried in the MC.

What is the correlation between you living in the area and me lying about what happened?
Is it because you living in the area and all you should have been a witness?

What is the correlation between you living in the area and me lying about what happened?
Is it because you living in the area and all you should have been a witness?
Twisty C road with a somewhat arbitrary 50 mph limit, so I pressed on to 60-65, accelerated and braked firmly (200 bhp Audi at my disposal), and took the corners at the limit point. Not how I'd been driving before, with both my parents in the car!
Eventually I got a chance to let them pass without being more of an impediment than a help, and promptly took it.
Why didn't I go faster than 60-65? Diminishing returns. The fastest that would possibly have been safe on that road would have been 70-75 mph. It was wet, and the amount of time that going faster would have saved them would be measured in seconds. Plus 76/50 is court territory, rather than a few points, or even a SAC.
Also less likely to be reported if not driving like an absolute hoon
Nothing came of it. In fact, they were pulled in about a mile or two down the road, I think another unit had reached the incident first. The incident which we passed - another reason why driving on the absolute limit might not be the best idea!
