Hello, first post so go easy......I am looking for advice on setting eyes on a Ferrari F40, I am in Scotland, near the borders and will Travel anywhere in the UK for a guaranteed visual, soppy backstory is my boyfriend has been a legend this last year and he is car crazy, and his sport is driving. This is his favourite car, his poster car as a child and he has never set eyes on one.....I know people do driving days but I dont know if anyone knew where would have this specific car for one.....I am not as crazy a car person as him so i will try not to seem thick as mince with the replies but any help what so ever, i would be eternally. If you can think of anything at all, please message me, this would be making my dreams come true for him..... Thanks in advance !!!!

I take it you have the spare million quid or so to buy one?

I really doubt you’ll find one on an experience day, these are over £1m cars now.

My suggestion would be buy him an experience day in a 458/488 etc which he’ll love (6th gear are excellent)

Then if you can find a dealership that has one will let you visit and sit in one that would be a result (they defo won’t let you test drive one!).

Just wants to be able to see one in real life.
Ferraris aren’t my thing but there must be club meets etc that someone can advise on.

Might be worth moving this to the Fezzer forum.

Best bet would be car meets around the UK as I don't think there is one on static display but that isn't easy right now.

The blue one has been at the Bicester heritage event in the past.

Exactly, he was saying ferrari charged £12k for a gear for one, so if i had the mill, id buy him it.... but if anyone knew anywhere we could even just set eyes on one.......I honestly would be grateful, its the closest I can get to him having one lol.

I’ve not heard of anyone doing experience days with an F40, however you might get lucky with the Sporting Bears, they do charity days and you can get a passenger ride in all sorts of nice cars...for a donation of course.

It's a bit of a longshot (...but you knew that already, didn't you?), but Nick Mason, drummer from Pink Floyd, owns one in his Ten Tenths commercial collection.

If it goes ahead, the Brookland Italian Car Day, in Surrey. There are usually several there.

You’ll usually see one at Auto Italia at Brooklands. Also Goodwood Festival of Speed you’ll usually see a few. Often seen at smaller local car shows. There’s one in Woking too.

They often have static supercar lineups at brands when races are on... Not sure how to guarantee an f40 though.

Something like this must be high odds: https://www.festivalitalia.com

Might be worth dropping a line to John Pogson at Italia Autosport near Huddersfield

They look after quite a few and John is a bit of a legend having raced them back in the day.

You might not get anywhere as I’m not sure how much time he spends in the workshop these days but worth a try

Buy tickets to the Silverstone Classic there are always a few Ferrari F40's in the Ferrari Owners Club display.

Great day out for a petrolhead.

Every Year Horsham (W.Sussex) holds Piazza Italia.

There is always at least one or two that take part.
