Reminds me of a bar I was in earlier in July, I was out on a stag do, the bar knew we were together, around 11 of us, we booked two tables to comply with their rules. they split us up, put a seperate table between us and told us no talking between tables, no passing anything between tables and no moving between tables. Funnily enough we had one drink each and left again. in every other pub we had been in we ran up fairly hefty bar bills and the managers seemed quite happy to let us do so, it certainly wasn't what could be described as an up market place either.

To be fair, if they'd been subjected to the checks and threats from licensing (with police on tow) that a couple our locals have then I don't blame the bar at all - it's their licence at risk.Funnily enough we had one drink each and left again. in every other pub we had been in we ran up fairly hefty bar bills and the managers seemed quite happy to let us do so, it certainly wasn't what could be described as an up market place either.
I wouldn't have believed the threats and overzealous enforcement if I hadn't seen the police and licensing staff talking to one of the landladies and then asked her myself exactly what they had said to her.

The thing about this guy is he's double stupid.https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-9864365/B...
His an anti masker / anti-vaxxer - well there you go, window licker straight away.
Then add in that his obviously a "Freeman of the land (or other mad group of people" and you have to wonder if it shouldn't be a legal requirement for him to have a carer or two with him at all times.

Masking indoors is pretty universal here in Toronto, and companies are beginning to demand proof of vaccination. Federal government gearing up to require full vaccination for all employees including federally regulated companies such as banks. Numbers here are pretty good though US not doing well and likely to require full vax for all visitors shortly- unknown whether Astra Zeneca will be accepted by US.
Restaurants have the usual rule..masks unless eating, including outdoors. Enforced or servers and customers.
Not a lot of controversy, though road border to US remains closed, and I have not been at my winter place in Arizona since Mar 2020.

Yes please. In fact if you're that scared best just stay at home.
This argument is beyond tedious. Is it really the best you can come up with? That everyone that doesn't agree is scared?
I went away for a few days last week, went to various pubs/restaurants/cafes. Some requested a mask to be worn, some didn't. Just like most normal people it didn't have any impact on my experience or opinion of the business, I just got on with my day.
