Glad you got the right outcome OP and sorry that you even had to go through this.

Scum kids being allowed to become scum by the scum parents.

It’s disappointing that there isn’t a stronger response towards the child and mum for a malicious and false allegation. That doesn’t sit right with me at all. Glad there is no further issue for the OP, but there needs to be some accountability for the kid and mum.

Things are certainly ‘not right’ today….. But to those who look back wistfully at the good old days, there were many horrendous examples of awful behavior from teachers towards kids that were accepted and went unpunished. That was not the right answer either.

This is very true, why is this not something like a case of fraud? Falsely accusing the OP with made up story of events.

Maliciously alleging a crime would come under wasting police time, wouldn't it?

That offence doesn't even require that the allegation is made to the police themselves, as far as I can see, it only needs an allegation made to 'someone' which then results in police involvement. Although in this case I understand the 'mother' did make an allegation directly to the police, anyway?

Not sure theres a false report here - what happened - is confirmed by CCTV - however its certainly been embellished by the boy and his mum. Police have agreed that the OP had a defence in law, so the assault allegation will remain recorded and finalised as no further action. Had CCTV confirmed that the OP never laid a finger on the boy - then there may be a false report / waste Police time to record

Does that mean it would show up on an enhanced CRB? If so OP needs to sort that out sharpish!

Given child in question is probably now aware that their plan was thwarted by the CCTV, no doubt they will be doing their research to pick a spot not covered by CCTV, for their next victim .......

OP

Since your posted outcome, has this all settled down now?

Did the children ever return to your school or did the mother keep them off as she threatened?
