I got a pcn this morning for daring to park near Glastonbury to drop off so friends for Glastonbury Sunday bus.

While parking in a small council car park I got a ticket and someone who probably thinks that 10am on a Sunday and so they opened it and put £30 to cover the 25 early payment charge.

It says if you interfere with the pcn it’s a offence but would paying it?

I am grateful and not upset just wondered what constituted interference

From the slightly incomplete paragraph, I would say that they haven't paid it, they have interfered with it by bunging thirty quid in there. Ring the anti-crimes squad biggrin

So you got a PCN for parking in a car park, some kind soul has decided to pay it for you (plus £5 extra for your trouble) and now you are wondering if they have committed an offence?

So someone saw the ticket on the car, opened it up and put in enough money to cover it, what's the issue?

Maybe the OP wants to pocket the cash by trying to get the PCN cancelled smile

Get the CCTV from the car park, see if you can identify the perp and then shop them to the police for "interfering with a PCN". That'll teach them.

I'd argue that the PCN wasn't 'interfered with' if it was still on your car, unaltered and you were able to pay it - which you were.

What is "daring" about parking in a Council car Park? Isn't that what they were designed for?

Or did you park without paying because it was 10am on a Sunday morning and you thought you'd get away with it?

The daring element is across my county many don’t charge in Sundays, mendip sadly do and clearly have staff at 10am out enforcing it small back street car parks

Amazing if true - don’t mean to doubt you, it’s just a very (very!) nice thing for a stranger to do.

I know this is pedantic (even for me!) but if you had presumed that it was Sunday and therefore they didn't charge then it wasn't "daring" because you assumed there was no risk..

Anyway the Good Samaritan probably feels good for helping you out, you're £5 up, and the Council Taxpayers of Mendip are also £25 better off. So everyone's a winner.

Oh so feel I spend my time making things up to post on here? So you spend your time policing ph and calling out anyone you believe is making up facts in a post, how noble of you.

Maybe you need to take some time for self reflection, you could maybe channel your time into more valuable and rewarding endeavours, community speed watch perhaps!

So presumably you will give the extra £5 to a charity of your choosing so as not to benefit from "illegal" activities ?

Makes no sense to me.

I think he's saying some good Samaritan has contributed £30.

It's not the kind of interference most would complain about.
