Went here the weekend they have changed the roundabout so its even worse, it has a hurge stone traffic calming block now!

Its one way now!
What's the wiggle in the picture for? A nod to the old layout?

It was dreamt up to confuse/discourage vehicles and make it safe area for cyclist, despite Clevedon having an aging population with mobility issues, some council panel thinks its a really clever scheme, i think there are some crackpots there!

This lady kept steaming up and down when I was there...

Just pacing up and down its was very cold and windy! Seemed to be a mixture of a camo dryrobe and bright colours she seemed mad!

I parked on the wiggly lines at the weekend (bad parking thread for me !) while I dropped my wife and her friend and a lot of food off for a do at the sailing club, just under the walkway there. I then had to do a lap of the town looking for somewhere to park properly. They have made a proper hash of it all.
I've seen others parked on it and I did think it's legal I believe as it's a single unbroken white line so you can park there unless I'm missing something?

Not sure I'd want it on a sandwich, but sounds a nice colour combo.

Looks like the Council are up to no good again under the cover of darkness.
Removing the roundabout ?
Have they taken advice from Plymouth council ?

Installing a dartboard.

I mean, it makes as much sense as everything else.

Are they just doing it to take the piss now?

Serious question.

It does seem that way. The people living next to it must be getting pretty fed up with the constant overnight working now.

Couple of snaps of last nights work.

Parking space on the left is apparently for Mr Whippy, but nobody is really sure.

I believe tonight will be the third attempt at painting a roundabout.

In the above pic why do they even need a roundabout? Coming from the bottom of the pic you can’t go straight on as it’s one way so can only go left, coming from the left side of the pic you could only go right and from the top either straight on or right, or am I missing something. Or are the planners / designers missing something instead.
They set out these schemes to confuse motorists, which in turn makes roads unsafe surely. Then either an accident occurs or they’ll stick a camera to”monitor” it all and fine motorists for any misdemeanour and try and recover the costs of the big fu#k ups they do.

NSC like to confuse motorists. That was their reasoning for the wiggly lines "it confuses motorists and will make them slow down" was their thinking.

Any semi serious cyclist is going to bomb down the road to keep up speed for the steep hill, the last thing they want is to have to give way to cars coming from the right at the bottom of the hill! I used to cycle that regularly as a lad.

Hahaha my word that is mental.

The speed at which these subsequent revisions have been churned out is quite surprising tbh. Not entirely sure how as by LA standards these schemes are being delivered at the speed of light. I suspect they've had a few detailed designs knocked up by a consultant/ design house following some mental brief, and they've been sat on a shelf after picking their preferred option. When they got kickback after the first bit of work, they just delivered another one they had sitting on the shelf.

Unless it was all part of some grand phasing plan, in which case whoever decided to phase the scheme like this is a moron.
