Why is car crime unpunished/ unpoliced?

My old force is now well above pre - cut levels, however this has had little impact on response shift numbers - they are still understaffed - I assume new recruit numbers have allowed more experienced officers to move onto non frontline squads/units.
On paper we are the same but all I hear is jobs going unanswered or the duty sgts telling the control room that they are out of staff (usually 15 minutes after briefing). My force hasn't 'spread the love' to RPU, Dogs or firearms with the increase in numbers either.

Apologies, no idea why the graphic didn’t include the title, I’ll try again. Just in case it doesn’t show, the map on the left is percentage of officers with under 5 years’ service in 2016, on the right it’s 2021.
I wonder what the churn rate is? A few years ago a SLT steer group foresaw a 10yr policing career as the normal. Edited by Dibble on Sunday 26th March 08:37

I would love to see the up-to-date stats - I imagine it will make for concerning reading.
At least our 17% pay rise will make everything better.....
