Does anyone use an oil additive when changing oil and filter? I'm using Mobile 1 0w40 and the car has done 100k.

No, they are generally just chlorinated Paraffins, not great in modern engines.

Good oil changed regularly is better IMO

Are Chlorinated Paraffins still in use? Only reason I ask is I know the short and medium chain ones were taken out of service leaving only long chain but even these were being looked at for removal ... I have no doubt the REACh regulations were partly to blame for this.

Put your reg into Opie and take your pic..I don't believe in additives , oils have been researched and developed that nothing else is needed

No, the V12 doesn't need any additives over and above what is within Mobil's oil package.

I change my oil once a year but I only drive maybe 3000 miles a year if that. An extra oil change is much better than oil additives.
