I currently have a Maserati 3200 Assetto Corsa, love it, but starting to waver and look at C6's.

My budget is quite wide, between 20 and 35K, depending on what "value" I can get.

I would love a Z06 like most people, but there doesn't seem to be many for sale and probably especially not many at my sort of budget.

I was thinking manual LS3 car might be the sweet spot?

The thing is , some of the LS2 cars look like excellent value?

What are the best options to have?

I am just finishing some work on the Maserati, may put it up for sale after finished and start looking for a Vette.

Would be fun for this years Le Mans trip!

OK thanks for letting me know, I have just been replacing all coolant hoses (there are a lot on a 3200) for matt black silicon as the originals have gone soft, also doing some other preventative stuff.

So need to have it back running and see then seriously decide what I want to do.

To be honest I have my heart set on a manual for a vette - love the idea of blipping that LS motor on the down change!

So not ready yet, but starting to do my research and will keep you in mind.

If you go for an '08 onwards C6 the auto box does the blip for you smile Generally, LS3 is the way to go as there were lots of associated tweaks in '08 (steering, box, etc) that make a noticeable difference...and the interior is nicer with the fake carbonfibre instead of sliver plastic. The only downside I can think of with the LS3 is that the air-filter costs way more than for an LS2 if you stick with standard induction...but that's not the end of the world!
