Nothing to be nervous about, buy a silk shirt and grow a handlebar mustache and OWN IT!

I dated a girl a few years back who's father had a 54 Corvette which he'd owned since high school. Stunning car.

The nice thing about corvettes is parts availability. You can buy just about everything for new for dirt money. An example of this is the brake master cylinder and steel reservoir. It's the same as the one that I had on my 69 C10 Chevy pickup truck and cost about $20 new to replace. I'm pretty sure it had more than $20 in metal on it.

Engines for that year are going to be smogged and low on power, but getting 1hp per CI from a small block is really cheap and easy. The last time I had a TH350 rebuilt, it cost me $600 including R&R.

Best of luck.

You forgot the medallion!!

Just make sure the car is good, ..no rust on the underside inc. fuel and brake lines and check for accident damage as they are exciting to drive in the wet. Get a good 'un and you won't regret it, and all those in their modern stuff will secretly envy you. First time you get a thumbs up in the gas station, your know you made the right choice!

Every guy wants a Corvette, so just do it!
