Does anyone know the black stingray on Autotrader that's been up for a month or so? The guy obviously doesn't want to sell as he can't be arsed to write a description.
Bizarrely, I was on the M25 travelling back from Ian Allen's in Surrey a couple of weeks back.

Somewhere on the NW corner of the M25, this very car came up onto the motorway alongside me and then left at the next junction.

As I was also in my black-on-black C7 Stingray, we kind of looked at each other as if to say, "what's the chances of that?!"

When I first saw this car for sale, it was up for £88,000!

£88k! Blimey. Now I'm worried I'll get another slog of depreciation if I buy one...

He must have been dreaming though! You can order a brand new C7 Grand Sport for about £80k or a Stingray for under £70k.

Used values seem to be what they were (if not slightly more than) this time 12months ago.

As a 2014 it's 3 years old and very likely one of the early "Manchester United" sponsorship cars.

Given that most cars depreciate around 50% in their first three years that £52.5k is a pretty feisty asking price. A brand new manual coupe can currently be bought for about £63k

Hi All
New to the Website
I am looking to buy a GS 3LT in the US, run it there for some time and then bring her back to the UK. Has anyone tried to get a vette into Europe from the UK on a US spec.? anyone have any idea what would be involved and the cost? I know a (French) European COC is required, I hear they are almost impossible to get with a US car.

Advice please, I'll surely bring it into the UK, but is it just too much grief (and cost vs a European spec.) to try to get it to Europe?

Thanks

Ooops! Forgot (Doesn't it always happen when you've just posted) frown

One other thing, I saw on an earlier post about getting the navigation changed to UK region, would anyone have any contacts/suggestions where this could get done?

Thanks again

Personal opinion - before you buy a Grand Sport or any other wide body Vette make absolutely sure you can live with the width in UK. It's an extra 4" wider than the already generously proportioned base models. https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums/c7-z06-discus...

Yes, you can get a US satnav, radio etc reprogrammed for Europe. You'd need to budget around £1,000 all in if organising it yourself. If you end up an owner I'll be happy to send further details.

Cheers guys for the response.
I do plan to buy, and have thought long and hard about the width, but on balance I will still go for it. We plan to buy in the US, and take some time out visiting friends, then bringing it back to the UK.
Will be in touch regarding the satnav etc.

Cheers again
