TBH I was discussing Vettes the other day and had completely forgotten the C7 even existed. And not only that, but that the C8 seems not that far away.

The reason for this is, I don't think I have ever seen a C7 Corvette in the UK.....

Have they been less popular over here than the C5's and 6's? I still see both of these models from time to time and there are a couple of each in the local area.

One of the Arsenal players has/had one, used to see it leaving the training ground from time to time.

To be honest Corvettes have always been a small seller as a proportion of all sports cars sold in UK - and sports car sales in UK have collapsed. On that link the numbers for McLaren and Lotus are absolutely tiny in what's supposed to be their home market. Sports cars have become a subject that gets lots of internet chatter yet very few people actually go out and buy one. Most people with "money to spend" seem to want a big lump of SUV on the drive.

Having said that, C7 is an utterly brilliant car!

It’s more the fact the C7 is what, 5 years old now. I go to a few car shows and motorsport events throughout the year and cover best part of 26,000 miles on the roads. But I’ve not seen a single one.

I think I may be in the market for one. I really want a yellow with the manual box. I remember racing against a C5 back in the day in GT Cup and have since been really impressed with them in IMSA WEC etc

What is the availability like for a New one? I don’t want to wait ages for one.

Mike,

Yellow is no longer available within Europe. Due to WLTP we had to block order cars - we have 13 Corvettes left in varying specs but only the choice of Red, Black, White and Blue. Once these vehicles are sold there will be no more of the current C7 available as an official car. This car has just come into stock.

mike,no more stock? is that because of the launch of the c8?, will c7,s go up in value because the c8 will be in a much higher price bracket?

I didn’t actually race the vette but raced against Mitch when he ran it in GT Cup,

I don’t think I did my reserve very well reference purchasing one as it would only by the ZR1 I would be interested in and it didn’t look like it’s available over here, shame!

Mike.
This just appeared for sale.
I realise it's not a ZR1, though.
Oh and it's nothing to do with me - I'm just the messenger.....

C7 Z06 is quite simply one of the very best cars on the planet right now, and in the U.K. you get the added bonus of exclusivity.

Does anyone have any backround knowledge of this yellow Z06 at the Supercar Rooms? It has a great spec. Seriously considering a C7 Z06 but I would want a manual trans and preferably with the Z07 package . There are a few for sale on the Euro mainland, but the UK would be an easier option for me.
Cheers
Steve

Thank you, very helpful and much appreciated.
Just to elaborate, I have enquired about the black car linked below also, in Gernany, perfect spec but originally a US car, however that does not seem to be an issue once it has been EU certified.
Any other messages by pm are appreciated. Z06 C7's are not exactly plentiful.

Make sure it has,or obtain, a Carfax report on it to ensure its not a repaired "salvage"/damaged car in the US.
