I have had my build spec confirmed, very excited!! Apparently mine is in a batch due to arrive before 2023 but been told won't get any update as to when until it's been shipped!

Any idea at what point can get a VIN number and how can track it using that?

IAM will be able to give you your VIN when the car goes to code 3400, which is 'Broadcast for Production'. This means the factory have your spec confirmed, and its scheduled to go down the line.

I have linked below to a spreadsheet which is the 2023 C8 Production Tracker - it shows the first and last VIN produced each day (last 4/5 digits of the VIN), plus predicted VINs for each day going forward. With this you will be able to tell the exact day your car is built. If you look at the 7th September (9/7/22) it shows they built VINs 10099 to 10269, which is 171 cars for the day.

From build date its around 3 months to collection day in Virginia Water, based on personal experience - so that will save you from chasing them for updates.

Out of interest, Darren. Where you on a waiting list before your time to order arrived?.
I placed a deposit with Ian Allan 18 months ago, and have nt heard from them re. ordering.

Yes put deposit down last year ,I would give them a call (the new prices are about 10k more than last year now )

Had a courtesy call from Craig at Ian Allan today, after he saw my post.
I have nt been forgotten, I had expressed an interest in a C8 Z06 rather than a Stingray, So a bit longer to wait.
Might be an even longer wait as I now fancy the look of the E Ray.

The E ray is going to be produced in RHD, and there was a video at the presentation showing final testing.

I have called Ian Allen a few times now but never heard back . As an existing Z06 C7 owner I want to order a Z06 obviously to go alongside

I tried but fully booked up for that so went for the standard c8 and I’ve been told we won’t see a c8 z06 over here anyway

There will be a C8 Z06 convertible at the CCCUK Nationals at Sywell Aerodrome next weekend (15th/16th), plus I know that there's a C8 Z06 coupe going too
