I purchased a 50th Anniversary Edition C5 at the end of 2002 and have had a great time this year - being the 50th Anniversary of Corvette.

Went to the Boxberg track for some training:

Been down to the Perigord with the French Corvette club:

Had fun at Le Mans - with a drive around the track:

And went to Nashville, Tennessee for the Corvette 50th Anniversary celebration. Met up with a few other 50th AE owners:

Generally having a good time!

Any other Vette owners around?

I was considering a C5 a while back. I asked for peoples opinions on them here and got a good response.
I still fancy one now! Maybe you could talk me into it!

Performance (kW/hp/rpm)253/344/5400
Max. Torque (Nm/rpm)483/4200

Price for 2004 model new: Between 60k euros and 70k euros (~ £43k and £50k)
Second hand: 2002 C5 ~ 50k euros; 2001 C5 ~ 45k euros; 2000 C5 ~ 40k euros

Quite allot of bang for the buck.

Hi Nuro, i belong to CCCUK Vette club and own a 1990 ZR1 ,pretty heavily modified but in the workshop at the moment having yet more ........Mods!.
I have a few freinds with C5s and will let them know of this forum, they all seem well pleased with their cars and say they are streets ahead of the C4 for ride comfort etc,one of these guys has a Zo6 and runs 12.6 straight out of the showroom ,not bad eh
BTW,nice pics.

Thanks for the photo compliment ZR1415.

I too mentioned this place to some English friends from your club. I met a couple in Nashville recently at the 50th event.

Have you been down to Le Mans with the French Corvette club?

Tell the truth now Cliffy!!

It is only having more mods 'cos you broke it at Elvington!

BTW Was speaking to a guy on Saturday about the ends of your spark plugs going missing and he said that high octane fuel (105 Octane booster for example) will destroy your spark plugs. Just a thought.
