Sadly not me :-(
I met the owner when Caterham had an open day, think he's had it from new. It's an absolute gorgeous car and a credit to the owner. One of my all time faves. The car was featured in Low Flying, and annoying I can't find the magazine .

I owned a red one for a few years.

Is Gary May still around in Caterham circles? He's a very nice chap!

Just looked on linkedin and he is a motorsport engineer at Boss Racing which rents race and track day caterhams and a Radical SR3.
Top chap!

That must have been Peter Milner's car, the 5th of the 8 Freestyle Duratec cars Gary May built between 2004 and 7. They are all documented in the Feb 2016 Low Flying, along with an interview with Gary and Len Unwin, co-founder of Freestyle. The best known of the cars is probably no.7 (the one on the front cover), which lives in California.

Didnt know about "Freestyle". Interesting article, though. Many thanks for posting the link. A shame that the suspension components etc to covert an existing 7 to this style aren't still available as an upgrade kit

ETA - here is a link to the Evo article:

Don't know why I didn't remember about Freestyle, I was an Evo subscriber back then

The Freestyle suspension components other than the anodised fulcrums are available from Arch, who made them originally. Also Jay Unwin, Lens son, hinted recently on Facebook that they may selling them again soon.

That's my car now, still trouncing most cars on track days but has also toured Scotland, Wales and elsewhere.

Here’s some footage of three of the eight Freestyle Duratecs at Cadwell Park. Duramvej’s red no.6 is behind Seven Smiles’ yellow no.1, and FST’s black no.4. Happy days.

Len built my blue Freestyle 7 in 2003. It is wonderful. He is a lovely man.

Was the Freestyle a noticeably better car, or is it just another special that has an over inflated price.

Hi Peter

How is the car and have you done any track days this year? I think you were booked at Donington with RMA back in the spring, but I didn’t see you there in the end..

Hope to see you and your amazing car in the flesh in 2019 sometime!

You might want to tell Pistonheads users a little about its history......?

Hi Stephen

The car will be out and about again soon and throughout 2019. It’s been apart to tidy up some cosmetics and to fix an annoying starter motor issue. There’ll be a full article in a couple of magazines (here also maybe) next year. driving
