Of course there's no such thing as a 'standard' Caterham, but the key specification items that make it an SLR are the wide track suspension, uprated brakes, split rim alloy wheels, carbon wings and nose cone and (in the UK at least) the 1.8 VHPD K series with dry sump.
And yes, your 'SuperlightR' stickers are in a "non-factory" position: they should be on the side skins rather than the "hood" (there should be one on the back panel as well).
Mine is SLR Number 50.
Are you sure they were on the side skins? I've never seen that, normally they are just above the rear bonnet latch. And yes, your 'SuperlightR' stickers are in a "non-factory" position: they should be on the side skins rather than the "hood" (there should be one on the back panel as well).

I've done mine myself. I split them apart and hand polished the rims, then had the centres stripped and re-powder coated at a local wheel guy. He could have polished the rims with a fancy machine he has but the cost was just too high for what I could justify, I have 4 full sets and I've been trying to get them all into as-new condition. New bolts are available from SRR Hardware.
