Hello All

The light coming from the headlight of my 21 is poor.
I have currently fitted Philisp Xtreme Vision Plus and 10 year old CIBIE headlight unit from a TVR. the bowl is in good condition and there are no sign of rust.

So how can I increase the light output from the headlight?

Is there a very modern (LED?) headlight unit with a retro look?

The car is nearly 20 years old and I want to keep the old look

thanks for your help

Jack

I seem to recall seeing a conversion kit that one could buy, I'll see if I can remember where I saw it

Look for trucklite 7" led lights. They don't look modern like the fly eye type ones.
Usually available from places that sell land rover parts.

Thanks you all

Has someone tried the LED headlight bulb conversion?
Something like this one?

Hi Jack wavey
Have you checked the voltage at the bulbs? You may be getting a volt drop somewhere along the line which wouldn't help anything.

How are you doing? It's been a while.
Cheers

Hello Ian

The wiring is a bit old on that side of things...

I was hoping the LED will be more forgiving than the old filament bulbs

Anyway how are you?

Still have your 7?

How does it control the direction of the light with clear lenses?

I'd try to get as good a voltage as possible.

I'm doing OK, I still have ZeNA but she hasn't run for about 7 yearseek

I'm hoping that maybe next year I'll get off my arse and get her back on the road.

Same question the beam angle would be for a left hand drive motor?

I imagine they are available for lh and rh dip if required or will be a flat beam.
The reflector will do the beam direction as do lights with plain lenses on any car
