So everybody let’s find out which is the best track for track day fun. Did Cadwell last week and I’d forgotten just how exhilarating it is, especially in hot weather when there’s plenty of rubber laid down.
Love Oulton for The speed and technicality
Anglesey is fun and safe, especially the coastal circuit.
Donnington comes in quite high up too ,not done often though because of the noise issue.
Off to Croft in August, not done it before so quite excited.
Done Spa a few times , sublime!
The Ring? Did it once but to be honest you need several days to learn in sections to really get to grips , my opinion anyway

So trackmeisters, what is your rating?

It would be interesting to know how many 7’ers have made the trek to Anglesey. It really is a cracking circuit . Obviously when you chat to others it’s surprising how many first timers you meet and I usually seek them out at the end of the day for their opinion. Always favourable. Also some of the organisers do the international in the morning and the coastal in the pm, two circuits on the same day, Brillo pad. The coastal has the corkscrew which is cracking in a caterham. Plenty of good accommodation round here and good pubs for a few post events sherbet’s.

Best circuit in the country in my opinion, particularly the Coastal layout, and i say that as someone that lives 1 mile from Donington!

I am looking forward to racing at Anglesey next weekend in a CSCC double header weekend meeting.

Anglesey is well worth the trip.

The Ring is without equal simple as ...how they could even conceive to build such a track given the terrain is mind boggling .

Do persevere with Cadwell as it is epic.

You have been very unlucky with the weather as I have been there 12/13 times and only once was it wet.

A well set up Caterham around Cadwell is driving nirvana !!!

Yes the ring is awesome and Spa also but they don’t call Cadwell the mini ring just to sell it . As said a proper set 7 round there is the nuts. A pal of mine ,and 7er , brings some kind of McClaren super wonder thunder sting car, absolutely great, next time he’s bringing his 7. Says a lot.
A proper set of wet tyres and you can have an amazing time , if a tad damp, in a 7. Very satisfying running past the Evo Subaru set. Only thing is can’t think of any road legal wets that are much good. Advice on that much appreciated.
Hope to see lots of 7ers at Anglesey next week.

For me it’s tough to choose between Cadwell and Oulton GP. Croft is nearly up there with those two. All great tracks for Caterhams.

Spa is obviously amazing but I feel like it’ll suit a more aerodynamic car more than a Caterham.

Cadwell

A caterham around there makes everything else seem a bit pedestrian

I really like Croft too
Blyton is good considering it's just a test/sprint circuit
Donington is good but not done about a million laps there and find it a bit boring now
Anglesey is amazing, esp the view back to Snowdonia while driving

I must say, I'm very partial to Pembrey. Now has two layouts, though I like the original a bit more than the new. It's a bloody long way to go, but worthwhile.
