Probably worth Googling it as well, Andrew. You will come across plenty of Caterhams in this colour that just don't have the 'pop' of the colour when used in its OEM application - and I am pretty sure that's because the correct undercoat hasn't been used.

100% agree you need a bright colour for visibility.

Mine was Caterham White but I added the lime green stripes & decals. My ideal colour would be the opposite however; lime green car with white stripes and decals yum

what about polished aluminum ? That is more eye catching than any other color.
Absolutely! Besides, paint must weigh at least 3kg 🙂

Still a project. Life got in the way. I built the workshop it's in now, a couple of years ago.
New job at sea, etc. etc. I'm about to start on it again in the new year.

I've gone down the bare ally route, with carbon.
But not the normal polish finish.

I’d definitely agree that bright colours are best, especially for safety. Mine is currently dark blue which I hate but it was bought used so I had no choice. It’s booked in for the end of September for a respray and I’m going with Renault Liquid Yellow and black decals and stripes.

Who's doing the respray and can I ask how much ?

I used to have a Rubystone Red Caterhsm HPC (the Porsche 964 RS colour).

A marmite colour, but bright certainly keeps you safer.

Sorry for the late reply, I’ve only just seen your post!

It’s going to PJA Coachworks in Middlesex. Not sure of the cost yet but it’s going to be more expensive than normal because the paint is a 3 stage paint with a special primer, it’s having decals down the sides and on the bonnet and I’m having PPF applied at the same time.
