I wouldn’t have thought that needed dry sumping for road use,but I’m no expert .

I’m sure someone else will be along shortly, but if not, Dave Andrews at DVA will know for sure.

I've had dry sumps fitted to both my Sevens, the first was a 1.8 K Series car and I have one on my current R300 2.0 Duratec.

On the Duratec it's a bit of luxury for road use, but I'd say it's well worthwhile on a K Series car. I fitted a mechanical oil pressure gauge in m old Superlight and it was pretty shocking how much the oil pressure dropped on right hand turns (and this was on CR500 tyres!) If you have the funds and can get hold of a dry sump kit, then do it.

Dry sump is worth having on any k series Caterham driven quickly.

Not essential on a car of that power for road use, but nice to have regardless.

What's putting you off the SL?

I found another one SL, but with 1.8k, fantastic condition, no rust at all in the underbody, the seller is really nice guy and yesterday I decided for his car.smile
Now I wait for the result of the inspection.
Is that kind of beauty:

Now I tell you what's putting me off regarding the Yellow SL, the 1.6 sitting in a seller shop since july 2019.
The seller behavior. Is difficoult when you ask a question or a picture again and again and the answer is (through voice WA message) sorry I'm in a track day, I will send you after tomorrow. And nothing.

I found the orange one through a FB group, I've ask if somebody have ti sell, I receive a lot of offer, so just have to choose.

That looks lovely too - do you have a link to the full spec?

Understand your reasons on the other one (though the things you note are often a great bargaining chip smile ).

Looks like a good buy.

Pic of mine from some time ago - pretty similar looking smile

And now (not so similar looking biggrin)

Hasn't been used in some time (starting a family ruins time for 7 driving smile)...but the journey has started to recommission it...hopefully in time for getting it back on the road next Easter. Can't wait.

If at all possible I would suggest trying to get some seat time in one...but that car looks like a decent bet.

To save disappointment on delivery day, ensure you have narrow shoes. Driving a 7 with trainers on is not easy, but even people with big or wide feet can drive comfortably with the right shoes

Antonio, are you in this group? I couldnt see your name...

https://www.facebook.com/groups/318610305307075

The reason I ask, I do know there are a lot of European members in that group, so mau find a nearby 7'er that would take you out.
