Hello together,

can anyone tell me how long the propshaft is for a Caterham SV or CSR with Ford differential? (Transmission is a 6 speed Caterham).

I would like to have my own made, but am unsure of the length as I don't have my new differential yet.

According to the assembly guide, it is 705mm for an SV (complete lenght)

However, I saw in this photo that the 705mm looks like this: https://www.flickr.com/photos/exfordy/534972124/

Has anyone removed a CSR or SV propshaft and can measure it for me? That would be super helpful!

Thanks guys.

Bailey Morris make them for Caterham so they should have that information. I'm sure they'd make one to any spec you wanted if you asked them.

I see you haven't had many replies to your question yet and, as I have a spare prop shaft from a 5 speed CSR 200, I have measured it for you and yes, it is 705mm from end to end. Judging by the surface rust on the splined end, it has also not been fully seated into the gearbox, just like the one in the picture.

I you want to save some money mine is actually up for sale, if you want to make it fit, you can always send it back to Bailey Morris for a longer tube and it will still be cheaper than getting one made.

Paul.
