Caterham now sell a heated carbon seat. I can’t find any information or reviews online. Can’t anyone help? I’m wondering whether they are the same design/fit as the standard carbon seats and whether the heating function is on/off or variable temperature.

Thanks

The heated carbon seats have been available for a number of years.
They have two temperature settings low and high Low I find I hardly notice, high is quite toastie! As far as I’m aware they have the same fitting as the non heated carbon version, but since I’ve never swapped them out I can’t confirm for sure.

Thanks. Are they comfortable for long journeys? The fit I mean, not the heating.

They are perfectly comfortable all day driving for me ….. but you really should try them first before committing yourself.
As I mentioned in my other post I find the Kevlar/carbon seats (heated or non heated) perfectly fine however for whatever reason if I drive a car fitted with the grp seats I personally find them uncomfortable after about 20 minutes driving, normally around the hip area., although I’m not exactly “well built” and having to force myself in to fit the seat. My assumption is there’s some subtle shape difference between the two types.

You can get aftermarket seat heating pads...a Google should yield some results.

Having sat in both normal and carbon seats at my local dealer, I’ve decided to stick with the standard seats. Much more padding and was concerned the carbons would be uncomfortable after several hours.

Picture of a tasty 170S in Volcano red. Lovely in person and much richer than the configurator suggests.
