The 1984/5 1.3 variety essentially built for homologation purposes.

Any own one, know of one or aware of one for sale?

Mine was C67 MNH, engine looked after by John Noble in Chesterfield and had the Irmscher cam.

Mine was c571sgx and had all sorts of extra bits on it (blueprinted, head cam brakes and Billies), long gone now doesn`t appear on any database so must be on the SS in the sky.

One of the biggest grin cars of its time.

I was most definitely a vauxhall lad when I was growing up and only ever saw one of these. Is it true that the sport bits came in boxes in the boot?

I know they were rare when I sold mine (93/94) but there must only be a handful left now?

I would love to buy one again!

Yes a big cardboard box , Fiat do the same with the Abarth 500 essesse kit but in a rather nice wooden crate!

If looking for one for sale have a look on or post a wanted add on Performance nova group, be prepared for a long wait and to pay good money for one.

I own one myself, don't think I could ever sell it though!
Sorry for the picture overload, shows it from where I found it to now (not that I had to do an awful lot cosmetically - a good clean!)

I didn't own one but my mates brother had one many moons ago in St. Neots. Considering there were 502 made I believe there was also another one in the next street. Swapped his red Nova GTe for it if memory serves me well. As said, I doubt there are too many left on the road.

Pictures are great! Shame it isn't on those lovely steel wheels with trims.

If you do think about selling. let me know and I will be over straight away.

I sold mine to my ex brother in law who after a while, swapped it for a mates SR which he turned in to a sprint car. I think the mate also sprinted the Sport for a bit but as above, it seems to have gone...

Asked my sister if she ever spoke to her ex husband (who I sold the car to) and she said "errr no, why?" I then asked if she is in touch with XXXX who did the SR to Sport swap and she said "yes, why?". I then said well if you speak to him again, ask him what happened to my old Nova. About an hour later she told me XXXX had messaged her back and said "its in my garage, not been used for a while, tell him (me) to make me an offer!"

And the rest is now (expensive) history!

How it was stored in the garage when I first tried to view in September:

When I picked it up in October...

And the rest of the original bits - even the 5x13 steel wheels!
