Hi there,

I wonder if you could help.

I am looking to replace my two front headlamp units on my 2010 Vauxhall Astra J.)

To cut a long story short I bought the car around 5 months ago and recently I have had a couple of issues with the car.

The car has a hid kit installed and I was in the process of taking the kit out to revert it back to standard halogens when it came to light that the previous owner had taken all of the clips and fixtures from the headlight unit that allow you to screw the bulb into the headlight out - to enable him to insert the hid kit.

The cheapest quote I have received to do the works is £280 including labour and vat. Does this sound reasonable to you?

Cheers!

Specialist Vauxhall Breakers or Ebay if you want 2nd hand.
Main dealer if you want new (will be expensive).

Thank you JKH.

If I was to get the parts, are they easy to fit yourself? Or would you suggest taking it to a garage?

The front bumper needs removing in order to remove the headlights the whole job should take no longer than an hour and you will need the beams checking/ setting after the new ones have been installed.
