May be one that was built over here.

If it was built by Roush in the US you can check by the vin.

Is it a geniune one? it has a GT badge on the rear?

4 previous owners?
Those in the know will probably be able to give a better answer but that looks like a roush bodykitted GT (badge is a give away) I'd have thought it would have a Stage 1, Stage 2 or Stage 3 badge on the back if it was a genuine Roush factory car.

EDIT: On the S197 forums a member has stated that a roush car with the appearance package may have the GT badge on it, so what I said may or may not be wrong.

Not sure if you mean myself (42 FNCB) in general...yes Adrian Flux quoted £480 limited miles for a more or less normal one.
My last was £150 with the wife on there (33)- shame the stang is not classed as a classic...

This year when i was phonong around for insurance all of them stated that once my mustang is 7 years old (next year) the insurance should go down by half, apparently american cars in this country get loaded for the first 7 years, so may be worth looking into that, try getting a quote on a 2005 S197 ??

Hmmm. Mine was 7 this year and it made feck all difference. A-Plan said to come back when it was 7 but the premium was more or less what I've always paid. That said, mine is supercharged so it may be less on a standard car as that broadens the insurers who will underwrite the cars.

Ok guys, been taking it on the chin for a little while now...so perhaps I need to expand my search....
Very pleased to get all the comments good, bad & tongue in cheek are all appreciated

Calling quality 'black' or the hardly seen 'alloy grey'...to the list...

Just to remind you guys the spec sheet...

Grey (Alloy/Mineral/Tungstgen) or black - Manual - Modified looks preffered - Engine stock or *modified (*preffered, but pref NOT supercharged) -
FSH & must be in excellent condition, more important than age - not more than 40k - up to 20k for right Stang.
- please do think I'm an easy buyer - no deep pockets here...

NO CONVERTIBLES / NO AUTO's / NO HALFORDS

PM me or mail to wozturner@aol.com with details/pics ect,

Its been almost a year! still nothing....Several very good offers to other owers..but all had a charge of heart

I can kind of see the argument for owning a V6....but for me, I could NEVER own a V6 Mustang. I think that takes away the idea of a Muscle car, like owning a Ford Granada rather than an icon car like the Mustang. I had a Cortina Mk3 for many years, that went from a 2 litre, to a 3 litre V6 , then very quickly to a V8. I just love the sound and V8 to me oozes 'Muscle car' = Mustang

I will be moving back to the UK in Feb 2014, I will be looking to spend 16k on an '05/06 Mustang V8 manual (NON-convertible), preferably with the Eleanor style kit on it, or 12k on the car, then 4k or so on the kit and wheels. In a year, Mustangs should have declined in price like they have over the past couple of years, so I should be able to get what I am looking for
