RE: Ford ships new Mustang
Discussion
Hi folks,
First please ignore the handle, the Camaro was a while back.
I have an '02 Mustang GT 4.6, it's stock and does 14.6 in the 1/4 (0-60 is 5.8), so it goes reasonably well in a straight line. Cornering ability is in fact complete rubbish, I have a panhard assembly awaiting fitment to try and sort out the skittish rear end.
However, I do 30k miles a year mainly on the motorway, and for this purpose it is in fact brilliant. Comfy leather seats, cruise, and a great soundtrack (plus the mach 460 stereo). It also looks the dogs nuts, especially in yellow!
Yesterday, I chanced upon a brand new 04 Mustang GT, in the process of an SVA, and it looked fantastic. It's a demo car for a Midlands based importer, so I'll be up there for a demo drive shortly. £5 under £28k I think is the asking price. I don't think you could import a top spec 4.6 GT premium for less than £24.5k all up, if you did it yourself.
