Just to add my ten pence worth...

I was lucky enough to get a 2016 GT350 when the pound was stronger. I intend to bring it to the UK with me in 2017/18. I understand that the warranty will be void by doing so, but don't think for one moment that there will be an official import. The demand in the US is so strong that I don't think they could cope with Building any more each year Additionally, Ford has a track record for two year production runs of its 'special' cars. A lot of people over here think a GT500 will be along soon.

I believe that the car will be scarce in the UK and hope that this will keep its value up in case I decide to sell. I have tried to keep an eye out for any selling back home and have only heard of one, which went for well over US list price...

Will we be getting a look in here or is Ford going to shaft us again?

It's the GT350 engine that appeals to me, so I'll reserve judgement on this (if it is a GT500) until I've heard it.

One potential positive; lots of people dropping their GT350's to move on to a GT500 woohoo

Exactly, probably a 6 month period where the GT350 will be at its lowest price before rising again.

I have a 2016 GT350R on the way over from the US right now. I hope to have it here in 10 days or so. Can't wait!

Top work getting an R - that is surely going to be the only one in the UK? I am Working on getting a 2017 to go with my 2016 but can't really afford both. It would be cool to bring two back though! I am trying to get an R actually but the dealer - after initially thinking they could get one - now thinks they can't. However, Ford haven't confirmed anything. A common story, apparently.

Keith. The dealer that I bought my car from had a second White/Blue R coming in a couple of weeks ago, do you want to me to ask if it's still available?

Yes please (assuming you mean me!). Do you know if he will be charging an ADM?

Thanks.

Kev.

Sorry Kev, yes I meant you. I will ask the question. There will be a substantial ADM

No worries Nick, and thanks. ADM probably puts it out of my price bracket (along with all the other Rs) but you never know. I think I can get a regular 2017 350 at MSRP so I may have to consider selling my existing one first as I doubt I can get two back to the UK!

Safely back in Sussex after trailering back from Liege in Belgium. All I need now if for the weather to clear. The roads around here are bad enough in the dry!

Very, very nice. Will you let me know how you get on with getting her road legal, please? Same colour scheme as mine, except those little red bits, of course!

Nick,

How are you getting in with your R, assuming it's road legal now? Speaking of which, do you mind letting me know the details of how you went about it etc etc? Also, is the US warranty with your car in any way valid in the UK? I am keen to get any info I can ahead of bringing mine back next year.

PM is good if that works for you.

Cheers,

Kevin.

Still toying with the idea of importing a GT350. Not sure what keeps stopping me. Ford aren't looking like allowing a RHD model in "UK-spec". Partly thinking that for £75-85k, could be asking for a whole heap of trouble if it turns out to be a lemon. Have any others experienced any issues with their imports? Most importers offer warranty (1-3 years). Not sure how comprehensive these would be. Also the issues with crap underseal don't inspire confidence.
