Did those Steeda springs make the ride harder? I do like a reasonably compliant ride and I know the standard car is comfortable enough. How much power was/is it set to with the x pipe?
Given the state of the £/$ exchange rate right now, look at an American car in $ and multiply by between 1.10 and 1.20 to get a landed and prepped UK price in £. A $50K US car is likely to be between £55-60K. It used to be 1:1 but that was with a £1=$1.35 rate.
