Help ! what engine is this ?

Can anyone help me , I have just bought an engine and box from rover which I was told was for the mg zt 385. the engine that has turned up is only a 2 valve and the supercharger says " Roush " on it . Is this a usual combination and what power should I expect , thanks , David

That will be a 4.6 260 Hp Mustang V8 (as used in the ZT 260), the blower should give it another 100-150 hp depending on boost level. Therea re plenty of these engines in the States making well over 500 hp with stock 2V heads.

Yep that is for the prototype ZT385, they did make a few of them, did you get the engine management system with it too? Roush completely reprogramed the Ford ECU for the ZT.
ave a word with Clare_scot or Brian from Dreadnought they know a thing or two about this engine

The ecu is missing but is supposed to be included ,I will have to chase it up.I have bought the engine to put in a tvr , looks like it is going to be a very tight fit but hopefully more reliable than the straight six
