fantastic choice. been looking myself just need to rejig a few finances, this is only 20 minutes from me and even though its a manual (prefer auto) it seems absolutely spot on. A bit of haggling for cash could get it for 30k

I saw a 65 plate advertised on PH for £30k on the nose a week or two ago. It was about the time I decided to seriously look for one. I rang and emailed the seller a couple of times but they never replied then next thing the ad had sold on it. £31.5k for a 16 privately seems 'about right'. Its a bit more sensibly priced than a lot of the privately advertised cars.

I think these cars fill the gap that TVR probably once did offering well priced no frills V8 fun...esp now the forthcoming TVR is about double the price of the Mustang.

Go get it done rotate

Congrats on the purchase, FWIW I think you git it for a really good price.

Congrats, you'all love it.

I had mine up for sale for nearly 2 months with little interest despite dropping the price many times. I do think that the current private prices are pretty optimistic. There are even some GTs at £10k more than their original price.

My local Ford dealer offered me £28k after claiming that they had had a GT on their forecourt for a while that finally went for £31k. Could well have been a lie.

In the end another trader offered me £29k and was going to pick it up the next day when I had a major change of heart and decided to keep it.

Rent and child maintenance can wait, this car is too good smile

I spoke to Mike at Modurstang this morning. Really decent chap to talk to and excellent advice. I've decided to ditch the Eibach springs and the CAI and go with Steeda springs and spacers and the Borla S-Type cat back exhaust with black tips to give it a 'stealth' kind of look. Mike's advice was that whilst the Eibach's were good value they weren't very progressive and people were fitting them and then changing them later. The Steeda's were more progressive. The spacers helped with the stance.

I'll be getting the mods done the week after I get the car. Can't wait. Counting down the days.

Also got an excellent quote from A-Plan for the insurance. £390 inc mods. Benefits of being at the wrong end of forty something...I think.
