I have just started to look through this thread and Mustang forums as it is likely to be my next car. Like many I have had a thing for Mustangs for years and always hire a V8 when away in the states. I am feeling its a bit of a 'now or never' for a V8 car and for a new motor its of the cheapest ways to get in to a good-sounding V8 especially now they are on 0%.

Any advice for someone looking to order a new one? Any options worth getting or avoiding?
I have heard there are problems with the manual box and have heard horror stories of oil cooler failure.

Also, can you covert the rear lights to the red USA spec ones - never like the clear Europe versions. Sorry for all the questions!

I'm in the same boat at the minute. I was looking at buying one around 2017 with the cheaper road tax, but now I've looked at the facelift I can't help but think they look so much better. I think they come with a better exhaust as standard too?

There's a second hand facelift one 2 miles away from me with the exact spec I'd be wanting, but the APR means I'd pay around 10k just in interest!

No immediate rush other than now driving a hybrid company car. I miss noise.

Same here no immediate rush - im more thinking 12-18 months time depending on lead time. I just dont want to look back and regret not having had a V8. I have just stepped out of a B9 S5 with a full milltek and into an 840 and miss noise!

Yes, it comes with active exhaust which sounds great as standard but I would put an H pipe on as well. Not sure on colour but I like this one and the body mods that have been done minus the roof wrap!

I have the 2019 Bullitt, exhaust sound is just incredible, I had the tail lights smoked as not a fan of the White euro spec lights.

I was talking to another owner at a Mustang meet he had imported his from the states and was having to have the rear lights replaced as they are illegal over here.

Looks nice and I'm sure the performance is epic. Is it £20k better than a stock one though ?

I’ve seen a video of the car, much too much power!

For UK road use I could never justify the additional cost, the stock Coyote is plenty adequate for that job at 400+ bhp.

When I got mine the last 3 were Mustang C63 AMG or BMW M6 chose the new Mustang because for the same money the other two would have been 4 years older.
Never looked back the attention the Mustang gets is amazing the other two are bland in comparison
