What's the soldering for? Can you not just unbolt the old one and the new one slots in?
The oem centre speaker has a connector which I chopped off and soldered onto the wires of the new JBL speakerI'm looking at upgrading my system in my 21 GT but it seems the Mustang audio system is not an easy home DIY swap
Simple and highly recommended 30 min DIY upgrade: Steeda Shifter Base Bushing Bracket. This part tightens up shifter precision, makes a significant and positive difference to shifter feel without adding any additional NVH….
You only need a deep 10mm socket and a bunch of extensions

After a little fiddling I was left looking at the woeful oem part alongside the almost unnecessarily beautiful Steeda part

Thoroughly recommend upgrade

Steeda clutch spring.
At the last mot, a Mustang specialist commented on how abrupt and aggressive my clutch felt and suggested trying the Steeda clutch spring to calm things down:

It takes about 15 minutes to replace the OEM spring (in my hand) for the lighter Steeda spring.
Pulling away smoothly is now much easier and the clutch bite point feels easier to judge.
Another great low cost upgrade.

Really didn't get on with the steeda clutch spring. I got mine from a forum member for free as he didn't like it, fitted it (like you say, easy enough with needle nose pliers!). Drove around with it for around 10 minutes, hated it. Removed it and gave it to anther forum member who fancied giving it a go! Far too soft for my liking. At the last mot, a Mustang specialist commented on how abrupt and aggressive my clutch felt and suggested trying the Steeda clutch spring to calm things down:

HVAC system has been a little hit and miss recently… at the last MOT I had the system pressure tested and everything came back ok.
The temperature controls didn’t appear to be adjusting the dual zones very effectively so a little research pointed towards the blend actuators.
There’s one each side of the centre console, easy to access:

Hopefully we’re now set for some summer road trips!

I ve accumulated some parts over the last few months and now it s finally time for installation.
DBA floating discs with fast road pads will replace the oem items on the front axle and I m very excited to see if the MGW shifter lives up to all the hype!

I've an MGW on my Vette (with the lower box as well), pricey but it's brilliant and was well worth the outlay. Really well made bit of kit. DBA floating discs with fast road pads will replace the oem items on the front axle and I m very excited to see if the MGW shifter lives up to all the hype!

Looking forward to a good shakedown tomorrow… static testing feels good, just hoping I didn’t overcook it by going for the X-Spec / Low profile optionNext up on the upgrade list are the half shafts… my oem ones have done very well, putting up with supercharged power for the last 10k miles or so, but are now starting to pop and creak.
A little research has pointed me to the GT350 axels, slightly uprated over the stock items and not as expensive as some of the big power / drag racing options on the market.
I might look to replace the rear wheel bearings while I’m there and then hopefully she’ll be ready for another summer of road trips and fun!
