IMO it's an ugly, disproportioned, undeveloped car.
King's new clothes, no-one has the guts to say it's a mess that wouldn't have sold in any numbers.
All IMO of course
You my friend have got to be blind, are you even serious? As for it not selling, what would you have bought instead i would like to know? A truly stunning car,in my honest opinion! King's new clothes, no-one has the guts to say it's a mess that wouldn't have sold in any numbers.
All IMO of course

That's your opinion and I disagree so I could ask you the same questions, it's all subjective.... just because you disagree doesn't make me wrong or my opinion invalid.V8 GRF said:

God, you're really getting you knickers in a twist over this aren't you?
Why do you care so much about my opinion, I don't care if you want to slag the Griff off...
But to answer your question they're two totally different cars and their fans fall into different camps, I think the cabin of the Typhon/T400 is too long and it throws the whole balance of the car out, but as I've said before that's MY opinion you don't have to agree.
No I don't believe they should have stopped making cars at the Griffith and like Tuscans, T350s and the Sagaris.
What would I have bought? I'd love a Sagaris and wouldn't say no to a Tuscan II convertible.
Re your final unecessary remark I hope you don't hit that lovely dog of yours with your white stick when people disagree with you.

David,
What took you so long to respond .....other than what seemed like an excellent trip to the Champagne region.
I've considered your response and I'll have to agree to disagree I'm afraid.
As with so many things in life, what was being discussed is a case of opinions. The case about being underdeveloped however, I believe you miss - that the T400/Typhon was a better sorted car is true. That the early Griffs were underdeveloped is another thing. They were lacking in basic set-up, nothing to do with 15 years of advancement in the automotive industry, and that was what I was suggesting.
A general point and not related to your posting here. I'm no keyboard warrior, I'd rather believe I am generally intolerant of people who post nonsense without thinking of the consequence - especially when giving advice. That annoys me and sometimes it comes across in my posts.
If that translates to being rude then it's probably my poor comprehensive education to blame and there is no changing that I'm afraid.
Now, very genuine head on......
I believe you post many informative and helpful posts both here and on the car club site. Without being or wanting to sound condescending, I think your post here was out of character, more so after meeting and chatting - you may disagree, I may be wrong. Either way, I hope this will not stand in the way of a chat next time we are at the same event. Very few folk care passionately about the marque, one less to chat with is a loss.

Re the keyboard warrior bit I'm with you and I hate poor posting and nonsense advice, so to ally that with your partial compliment with caveat about my posts I suppose I should have qualified my remark as to being soley regards the exterior appearance of the car in question. I think I'd had a bit of a discussion with someone about the car and I just got fed up with hearing nothing but praise for a car I dislike and indeed I have heard other people express similar opinions to mine on it's looks. So I wanted to point out there is a balance and that not everyone likes or indeed HAS to like the look of the car.
As I said the aura around this car is a bit like 'The Kings New Clothes' and if you disagree you should be hung drawn a quartered as illustrated by one or two of the responses to my perhaps over emphasised OP.
Similarily I won't avoid you next time we meet , as I enjoyed our chats at both Rockingham and Harewood
